Fugue has been a highly anticipated character in Honkai: Star Rail, finally joining the roster of playable characters alongside others like Sunday, just before even more eagerly awaited characters are set to arrive in the next major patch. While Fugue shares the same Path and Element as Jiaoqiu, their roles in a team are entirely different. Whereas Jiaoqiu focuses on debuffing enemies to benefit Acheron-centered teams, Fugue is designed to thrive in Break DMG-oriented teams. She brings significant value, especially in situations where players might prefer to utilize Harmony Trailblazer in the Remembrance path instead.

Fugue Skill/Talent/Ultimate Trace Materials

Honkai_ Star Rail - Fugue Skill Talent Ultimate Traces

Fugue’s skill serves as a support ability, designed to enhance an ally’s Break DMG while also enabling the selected ally to reduce the toughness of enemies, even if the ally’s element does not match the enemy’s weakness. Additionally, her skill reduces the DEF of enemies, making her valuable not only for Break-oriented teams but also for general team compositions seeking to maximize overall DMG. On the other hand, Fugue’s Ultimate is primarily focused on dealing AoE DMG while significantly reducing enemy toughness. Lastly, her talent further facilitates weakness breaking by allowing enemies to be broken more easily and take amplified Super Break DMG, solidifying her role as a versatile support for a variety of team setups involving Firefly, Rappa or Boothill especially.
