World of Warcraft Patch 11.1 is Adding More Areas than Just Undermine

Summary

  • Undermine and two new subzones, Gutterville and Kaja’Coast, will be added in WoW Patch 11.1.
  • Gutterville hosts Excavation Site 9 and may connect to Undermine’s corrupted area.
  • Kaja’Coast in Zuldazar, near Bilgewater Bonanza, is likely connected to Undermine as well.

Beyond Undermine, World of Warcraft is adding several subzones in Patch 11.1, including a corrupted area in the Ringing Deeps called Gutterville and a new Goblin camp in Zuldazar called the Kaja’Coast. These locations will be added to World of Warcraft in Patch 11.1 when it releases, likely sometime in February, but fans will be able to explore them on the Public Test Realm shortly after the new year.

Recently, World of Warcraft revealed Patch 11.1, Undermined. The major update takes players to Undermine – a zone centered around the glamorous underground Goblin capital city teeming with tall buildings, tight streets, and zany contraptions of all shapes and sizes.

World of Warcraft Patch 11.1 is Going to Be a Big Update for Hunters

World of Warcraft reveals some huge changes coming to Hunters in Patch 11.1 that fans of the pet-collecting class will want to be aware of.

However, it seems this World of Warcraft update is adding more areas than just Undermine to the game. Though the update has not hit the PTR yet, Wowhead has discovered several maps in the game files that show at least two new subzones in the game. The first and largest is Gutterville, a region in the southeastern corner of the Ringing Deeps. While the exact purpose of this location is not specifically known, the region will likely contain an entrance point to Undermine – and if the maroon coloration at the bottom is any indication, part of it will be corrupted with Black Blood and will be where Excavation Site 9, one of the WoW Patch 11.1’s two new Delves, is located.

New Locations in World of Warcraft Patch 11.1

  • Undermine, the subterranean capital of the Goblins, and a completely new zone.
  • Gutterville, a subzone located at the southeastern end of the Ringing Deeps.
  • Kaja’Coast, a Goblin camp located on the southwestern coast of Zuldazar.

In Zuldazar, fans will find the Kaja’Coast, a new Goblin-themed region on the southwestern side of the island, near the Bilgewater Bonanza, an old Azerite mining operation run by Gallywix in Battle for Azeroth. The mysterious location is likely where the drill-like tram seen in WoW’s initial 11.1 announcement during the Warcraft Direct is located, and thus will probably be another ingress into Undermine.

The map of Undermine itself, discovered alongside the others, features a hub called Slam Central Station, which is ostensibly where players will arrive in the zone. The station has five visible terminals on the map, so assuming Gutterville and the Kaja’Coast are two of them, there may still be three other spots on Azeroth that could receive Goblin-themed facelifts in the update.

Patch 11.1 does not have a release date yet, but current estimates place the update in mid to late February. That said, Undermined hits the PTR in early January, so players will be able to see the new World of Warcraft content for themselves within the next few weeks.
