Fortnite has loads of Star Wars skins already, in fact, it has basically run through all the recognizable characters at this point. So how do you keep releasing new skins? Epic is going for alternative designs, starting with the new Samurai Darth Vader Fortnite skin. This new skin is coming soon, along with a Samurai version of a Storm Trooper.
Darth Vader is going to be coming to the Fortnite item shop, in some form. He has already been included in the game, but he was part of the Battle Pass. For a long time, this was just how things were, the Battle Pass gave out quite a few skins with much better value, but once it was gone, it’s gone. However, more recently exclusivity has become a bigger problem. Battle Pass exclusivity has already been removed, starting from the end of Chapter 5. However, that doesn’t apply to older skins, like Darth Vader.
So, if you missed out, now there’s a Samurai Darth Vader skin coming! On top of it being a cool design though, it looks like this skin will have a unique feature that basically no Star Wars skin has gotten before.

Samurai Darth Vader Getting Lightsaber-like Pickaxe
One major problem with every Star Wars skin has always been the pickaxe. Players expect a lightsaber. but they usually get some bizarre staff themed around the character. It’s been a major source of complaints for players. The new Samurai Darth Vader skin isn’t getting a lightsaber pickaxe still, but it’s a step closer.
The pickaxe that comes with the skin will glow like a lightsaber. It’s going to be a similar-looking tool, with that familiar glow, but distinct enough to be something separate. It isn’t quite a full lightsaber, but it’ll please some fans. It could even be one of the best pickaxes in the future! It’s always nice to get an extra reason to pick up a Fortnite skin from the extra cosmetics.
