NetEase Games has announced a development roadmap for 2025 for its action survival title, Once Human, featuring the global launch time of the mobile version, three upcoming scenarios, an early access server, a custom server, and the Hide Cradle and Gender Change functions. The game is going in the right direction as per the roadmap, and we will soon get to enjoy exciting features, crossover events, various optimizations, and more, set to launch across the four quarters of 2025.
NetEase Games has shared a roadmap of Once Human, set to roll out across the four quarters of 2025
NetEase Games unveiled their development plans for Once Human on X (formerly known as Twitter). The annual roadmap is divided into four parts: Q1 includes January 16 and February to March, Q2 includes April and May to June, Q3 includes July to September and Q4 includes October to December updates. A variety of features, scenarios, events, and more are scheduled for release throughout these months.
First Quarter of 2025 Q1
Features or elements are coming to the game on January 16, 2024. The first is the Visional Wheel S1 called Lunar Oracle will kick off, featuring a game of risk and reward. This event will bring a new theme, where a crimson moon will rise, spreading a mysterious infection among both Deviants and Meta-Humans.
Additionally, the game is also going to introduce the Gender Change feature that will allow you to modify your character’s gender. The update will also add Eternaland Escape Room parts. From February to March, the game will implement the Hide Backpack feature, launch Version 1.0 of Custom Server, and add Eternaland Shooting mini-game parts.
Second Quarter of 2025 Q2
The second quarter of 2025, starting in April brings exciting news for all the fans as Once Human is officially releasing on mobile devices. You can pre-register for the game via your respective Google Play Store or App Store. The game recently concluded a technical test for Android and iOS on September 2024. Visional Wheel S2 will also be introduced during this month.
In May and June, you will get early access to new scenarios and optimizations. The game will offer early access for two new scenarios, Code: Broken and Code: Purification. Additionally, early access to The Way of Winter optimizations will be available, along with the launch of Version 2.0 of the Custom server.
Third Quarter of 2025 Q3
The third quarter is actually bringing more game content, as all the new three scenarios will be available from July to September.
- Code: Broken: This scenario introduces an all-out battle where superweapons are the key to securing the win.
- Code: Deviation: It offers similar all-out battles. And in both scenarios, your choices have the power to change the fate of the world.
- Code: Purification: In this scenario, Meta-Humans must work together to decontaminate the wilderness and eliminate the Original Entities, ultimately restoring the balance to the world ravaged by pollution.
Additionally, Visional Wheel S3 and S4 will be introduced during these months, along with two optimizations: Prismverse’s Clash optimizations and The Way of Winter optimization.
Fourth Quarter of 2025 Q4
Finally, the game will roll out Visional Wheel S5 and an exciting crossover event in the months of October to December. We can expect a good collaboration event from the game, as the devs have ample amount of time to work on the event.
