Onimusha: Way Of The Sword
The Fans’ Prayers Have Been Answered
After years and years, Capcom finally answered fans’ prayers by announcing Onimusha: Way of the Sword. The beloved dark fantasy series returns, blending intense sword-based combat, parry mechanics (the iconic Issen), and a narrative inspired by Edo-period folklore.
The reveal trailer showcased the protagonist battling the supernatural Gnema in Kyoto. With a 2026 release window, Way of the Sword promises to deliver everything fans loved about Onimusha, modernized for a new generation.

Okami 2
A Long-Awaited Masterpiece Returns
After 18 years, Okami is back. Hideki Kamiya, known for directing Resident Evil 2, Devil May Cry, and Okami, returns as a game director under Capcom to deliver this surprising sequel. Okami (2006), despite critical acclaim, struggled commercially, leading to the closure of Clover Studio, the Capcom team behind it. This downfall pushed Kamiya, Shinji Mikami, and other members to leave the company and form PlatinumGames.
Now, seeing Kamiya’s return to direct Okami 2 under Capcom feels almost poetic – a revival of a masterpiece that once marked the end of an era. No release date yet, but after waiting nearly two decades, we can hold a little longer.

Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet
A Bold New Genre For Naughty Dog

Sony Interactive Entertainment
Many were expecting a sequel to The Last of Us, but Naughty Dog surprised us with an entirely new sci-fi IP in development since 2020: Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. Directed by Neil Druckmann, the game takes us to the mysterious planet of Sempiria.
Bounty hunter Jordan, played by Tati Gabrielle (who will also be Nora in The Last of Us Season 2), gets stranded here, where communications with the outside universe ceased hundreds of years ago. With a soundtrack by Oscar winners Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross and stylistic nods to Akira and Cowboy Bebop, this title already looks like something very interesting.

The Witcher 4
A New Protagonist, But A Familiar Face
CD Projekt Red kicked off the event with a bang, unveiling The Witcher 4. The trailer? Basically a short movie, showcasing Unreal Engine’s cutting-edge technology. The twist? Ciri takes center stage, stepping into Geralt’s boots – though he makes his presence felt at the end of the trailer, with Doug Cockle delivering the line: “Time for a new saga. See you on the path”.
Naturally, fan opinions are divided over Ciri’s updated design – because when isn’t there drama? But one thing all gamers can agree on: we hope CD Projekt Red does not repeat Cyberpunk 2077’s launch mistakes.
