Prime Video’s Secret Level has released its highly anticipated Honor of Kings episode, The Way Of All Things, introducing Yi Xing, the latest addition to the evergrowing heroes roster of HOK. Written by JT Petty and based on the short story by S.L. Huang, the episode features Yi Xing’s backstory, and he is also available in the game.

If you haven’t heard about it, Secret Level is a brand-new adult-animated anthology series created by Tim Miller, featuring original stories set within the worlds of some of the most beloved games. The series premiered on December 10, 2024, and includes a mix of PC, PlayStation, and two mobile games, Honor of Kings and Warhammer 40,000. They just released their latest episode today, The Way Of All Things, which is based on Honor Of Kings.
This episode introduces the new character Yi Xing, and delves into his backstory, from learning the highly strategic game of Weiqi and mastering it to saving the city of Chang’an by using his skills to win a crucial match, everything beautifully brought to life with Chinese aesthetic animation style.
Yi Xing brings a diverse set of skills to the HOK battlefield
You can now play and master Yi Xing, the newest Mage to join the Honor of Kings roster. He features four skills which are as follows:
- Kiai: With this skill, you can periodically become immune to lethal damage while applying an Anti Qi mark on the enemy. This enhances your abilities making them more effective.
- Joseki: You can place a Weiqi counter at a designated location, which provides you vision of that location for three seconds and deals magic damage to that area.
- Atari: With this skill you can deal magic damage to any target area which then spreads into a Weiqi formation that pulls enemies within the central area, dealing more damage.
- Capture: You can trap enemy heroes by creating an empty Weigi board.
Yi Xing looks like a fun character to play, offering strategic Weiqi-influenced gameplay. You should play him as a mid-laner, where he excels at providing support to your team during team fights. Moreover, you can change the momentum of the game with his wide-area crowd control and burst damage abilities. Additionally, you can also pair him with Lu Bu, as their combination is very effective, allowing you to deliver high-impact attacks to your enemies.
