- Overwatch 2 players await the Avatar: The Last Airbender collab starting December 17.
Overwatch 2 tanks D.Va and Wrecking Ball share an identical victory pose that’s been rediscovered by players who’ve been enjoying the return of 6v6. Season 14 of Overwatch 2 is underway, and players have been enjoying the latest tank hero, Hazard, a member of the in-game revolutionary group known as the Phreaks. Overwatch‘s annual Winter Wonderland holiday event has made its expected return to the popular hero shooter as well.
Last season, Blizzard reintroduced Overwatch‘s classic 6v6 format as a limited-time side mode. Featuring only the original game’s launch roster with their original ability kits, sentiment surrounding the Overwatch: Classic mode was split, as newer Overwatch players thought it felt limited, while longtime fans appreciated the trip down memory lane. Blizzard thought the mode did well enough for it to return in this current 14th season with an expanded roster of heroes, allowing players to pick some of the original game’s post-launch characters, like Orisa, Sombra, Wrecking Ball, and others. It’s not currently known how long this current iteration of 6v6 will remain available in Overwatch 2, though it’s surely just temporary.

Overwatch 2 Players Shocked By Antarctic Peninsula Easter Egg
Overwatch 2 adds a new Easter egg to the Antarctic Peninsula map with what is apparently a callback to a popular rare Genji skin.
One Overwatch 2 player posted on Reddit highlighting a hilarious moment involving victory poses of mech-based tank heroes D.Va and Wrecking Ball. The user, palanquin_dva, posted an image of the two tanks side-by-side hitting the exact same “Peace” pose in a post-match victory screen. The pose sees D.Va, A.K.A. Hana Song, and Wrecking Ball’s hamster Hammond lying on top of their respective mechs, holding up the peace sign. The only difference between the two poses is that Hana blows a bubble gum bubble in her Peace pose while Hammond does not.
D.Va And Wrecking Ball Hit The Same Victory Pose Side-By-Side After 6v6 Match
Wrecking Ball was added to Overwatch back in the summer of 2018, two years after the game’s initial launch, of which D.Va was a part of. As the second mech-based Overwatch hero, Wrecking Ball was given its version of the classic D.Va victory pose, paying homage to the Korean pro gamer and one of the more popular launch tanks. Interestingly, D.Va’s pose also features in one of her animated highlight intros, though the same intro isn’t available for Wrecking Ball players. It would be cool to see some of the newer Overwatch 2 heroes be given highlight intros or victory poses that resemble those of the original roster members, as many of them do share similarities.
As fans are enjoying the arrival of Hazard and Overwatch 2‘s festive Winter Wonderland event, they’re also eagerly awaiting the game’s highly anticipated crossover with Avatar: The Last Airbender. The collab will bring skins for Mei, Venture, Zenyatta, Orisa, Genji, and Kiriko, and is set to begin on December 17 and run until December 30. As for 6v6, there’s currently no telling whether Blizzard will make it a permanent side mode in the arcade, or if it will return on an every-other-season basis.
