The Kid Who Vanished Fieldwork Quest In Indiana Jones And The Great Circle

Sometime after visiting Tongdang’s Hut to get a breathing device, Gina tells Indy that a kid, Sunan’s nephew, has vanished from the Village, which triggers The Kid Who Vanished Fieldwork quest in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

In this side quest, Indy and Gina need to explore a temple in the Wat Si Sawai area to try and locate Aran. The temple was used to test warriors, so it will be filled with puzzles, especially pipe puzzles.

After triggering the quest, follow the mark on the map to the nearby location near Tongdang’s Hut to start looking for Aran. Explore the area and proceed forward until the Tree House appears. Climb the ladder and lift the wooden plank inside to find a letter from Aran. Now that you know he is somewhere in Wat Si Sawai, head there using the boat or any nearby sign to fast-travel.

Upon arriving in Wat Si Sawai, wear the Royal Army outfit in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle to reach the Khmer Warrior Temple safely, otherwise, you will need to sneak around and fight your way in. After reaching the temple, proceed ahead until you get to a room with rubble in the middle and hear Aran’s voice. He explains that he is stuck and needs help.

Turn left and rotate the lever with Gina to open the door. Use the lighter to ignite the wood and see better. Grab the only Pipe Segment and place it in the pipe slot to allow water to flow, thus unlocking the nearby door. Head to the other room to find a stuck platform. Aran explains that you need to lift it to reach him.

How To Raise The Platform In Indiana Jones And The Great Circle

From the platform, walk forward, then turn left and walk on the frozen cogwheels to reach another area. Approach the fallen beam and climb to the upper hill to the left. Keep walking until a wooden platform appears that is also part of a giant cogwheel. Jump on it quickly and then jump to the space up ahead. Wait for Gina to cross and then jump down to find another Pipe Segment puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Here’s how to solve it:

• Turn the wheel found on the left side to activate the water source.
• Grab the Pipe Segment and place it in the pipe slot in front of the closed door, which will open it.
• Head inside to find another half-circle Pipe Segment.
• Get out, and place the new Segment on the ground for now.
• Grab the first Segment and put it in the other slot, then grab the half-circle one and put it in the first slot facing west.
• Finally, push the giant cogwheel with Gina and pull the lever underneath to get out of the room.

Now that the platform is raised, you need to find Aran.

How To Reach Aran In Indiana Jones And The Great Circle

After completing the puzzle, head left to walk on the now-activated cogwheels until you climb the tree root. Wait until the cogwheel turns to an opening and go through it. Use a combination of jumping and swinging with the whip to reach the big cogwheel, which you have to crawl under. Go through the door and pull the lever to help Gina up.

As the next door is closed, Indy and Gina must rotate the lever together to open it. Head down the stairs, walk past the cogwheels, then turn right. Pull the nearby lever to make a bridge and cross it to find a big pipe puzzle waiting. Solve it to meet with Aran.

How To Solve The Pipe Puzzle In Indiana Jones And The Great Circle

To solve the pipe puzzle, you need to activate the left water source, as the right one is already activated, and find four Pipe Segments. First, climb the ladder to the left and rotate the lever to activate the left water source.

Two Pipe Segments are located on each side of the room (1) and (3), just climb the left and then the right stairs to find them. One is found inside the room with a jar of torches next to it (2). The last one is locked behind a closed door (4). To get the last one:

• Place the T-shaped Pipe Segment in the first middle pipe slot facing east.
• Place a half-circle Pipe Segment in the pipe slot near the closed door facing east as well.

Once the door is open, grab the final Pipe Segment to finally solve the puzzle.

There are three main pipes found at the end of the puzzle and each leads to a drain. Indy must place the Pipe Segments in a manner where all three main pipes are pumping water into the three drains:

• The first pipe slot in the middle is the T-shaped Segment (1).
• The one under it is a half-circle Segment (3).
• On the right side should be the other half-circle (2).
• On the left side, place the straight Pipe Segment (4).

Once the Khmer Pipes puzzle is complete, head through the newly revealed door to meet Aran. After a short conversation, follow him to the secret room that he discovered to find an Ancient Relic.
