Operators. They’re one of the central gameplay pillars in Delta Force, and while all of the seven available at launch are strong, some are better than others, and a few can be performance-defining, whether you’re playing solo or as a squad in Operations or Warfare. Those that don’t quite measure up are still usable, but you need to work much harder to make them viable.

Delta Force: How To Unlock All Operators
There are seven Operators in Delta Force, but some are locked. Check out what you need to do to get all the playable characters in the game.
Our Delta Force Operators tier list considers several factors: their overall effectiveness solo or as part of a team, their moment-to-moment gameplay, and their utility in both the Operations and Warfare modes.
Tier List Overview
Every Operator in Delta Force has their place, whether it’s as a frontline fighter, a one-person army, or as a supportive unit. In the right hands, any of them can carry whole teams, especially in the Operations mode, but in Warfare as well, provided the player in question is a master of their craft.
Our rankings here are based on each Operator’s effectiveness in any given situation. We want to know how effective they are on offense and defense, at providing intelligence or keeping the squad and team in the fight.
Higher-tiered characters can also do more than put their enemies in the ground or keep their teammates up and ready. The best do a bit of both, reducing enemy effectiveness as easily as they buff their teammates.
S-Tier Operators
The S-Tier has two members, each worth their weight in gold no matter where or how you play the game.

Stinger is probably the strongest Operator overall, thanks to his incredible healing capabilities. In the Operations mode, Stinger can and will get you out of otherwise unwinnable situations, and in Warfare, your teammates will thank you for the constant healing. Your personal score will, too. |

Hackclaw is a very close second in the S-Tier to Stinger thanks to her Signal Decoder, which can detect up to six hostiles within a limited but still large radius around her. Her Data Knife has a hit marker if its disrupting pulse connects with an enemy, giving her a second, even more potent detection method. |
Hackclaw |
In the extraction mode, Stinger can and will get you out of otherwise unwinnable situations thanks to his healing, which temporarily removes the effects of debuffs like broken limbs or concussions. Hackclaw provides unrivaled intel during team fights and one good Data Knife can turn the tide of entire engagements.
Hackclaw’s Data Knife can not only dish out massive damage by hitting an enemy with it, but any enemy hit by its pulse has their abilities disabled for a few seconds.
A-Tier
There are two units in the A-Tier as well, and, oddly, they’re from the same classes as the S-Tier.

Toxik trades healing for faster healing for her teammates if they’re close to her. Pop her Dragonfly to buff your teammates’ weapon and reduce their screen flinch, then hit your foes with a blinding grenade to put the fight even more in your favor. She doesn’t have quite the universal utility that Stinger boasts, but she’s not far off. |

Luna’s Detection Arrow isn’t quite as universally useful as Hackclaw’s Decoder, but it offers long-distance enemy detection and squad-wide, legal wall hacks. Don’t count out Luna’s Volt Arrows for supplemental ranged damage, or cooking her Frag grenades to explode right on an enemy’s head. |
Luna |
Luna’s trait that marks enemies she’s hit is also strong, but without the Data Knife’s ability to disable enemy abilities, Luna can only go so high on a tier list.
B-Tier
You’ll find the remaining characters here in the B-tier, as none are weak enough to go down any further but are not quite as effective as the others we’ve described so far.

D-Wolf focuses primarily on combat rather than team play, and at the heart of D-Wolf’s kit are his Motorized Exoskeleton and Triple Blaster grenade launcher. The only thing he offers the wider team, however, is a smoke grenade that can be incredibly useful but doesn’t do enough to turn what is otherwise a “selfish” character into one that ends up higher on this list. |

Engineer |
Shepherd’s specialty is area denial, and he’s very good at it. In the Attack and Defend mode in Warfare, such abilities are invaluable. And in Operations, his Sonic Traps can be good early detection systems. However, his traits are more situational than universal and lack the immediate benefits Operators like Stinger or Luna can offer. |

Assault |
Vyron’s main gimmick is his improved ability to knock enemies down with his Crouching Tiger Tactital and Dynamic Propulsion skills. His Magnetic Bomb takes some of the guesswork out of throwing grenades, and the fact that he takes less fall damage is a nice benefit, but because he’s a more “selfish” unit than even D-Wolf, he’s here in B-tier. |

D-Wolf’s Tactical Slide is also great for maneuverability, more in line with a Call of Duty character, which, in Operations especially, can get you out of a jam. Don’t forget that Shepherd, like Luna, has Frag grenades, and those are useful for the same reason they are with her. Vyron’s maneuverability also helps him get places where enemies won’t expect him for less investment than D-Wolf.
