Solo Leveling is one of the big anime hits this year. The highly anticipated adaptation of the same name Korean novel (and later a web manhwa) lived up to the hype, delivering action-packed quality animation that amazed the public, with mostly positive reviews by critics and on review aggregator services.
The original novel, by Chugong, was originally published on KakaoPage from 2016 to 2018 (the manhwa adaptation by late DUBU was also serialized on KakaoPage). The print version is licensed by D&C Media in South Korea. Yen Press licenses both the novel and the comics, but official English versions can also be found digitally on platforms like Tapas, TappyToon and Pocket Comics.

What are the Astra TV Awards?
The Astra TV Awards are a ceremony presented by the Hollywood Creative Alliance (HCA) to celebrate the best TV series of the year. The HCA is a non-profit membership-based organization whose aim is to amplify diversity, accessibility and culture in the entertainment industry. It was founded in 2016 as the Los Angeles Online Film Critics Society and is today composed of creatives, critics, content creators, journalists and industry influencers. Founder and CEO Scott Menzel wants to amplify underrepresented voices. They have organized different awards since 2018.
The 4th Astra TV Awards was supposed to take place in August, but ended up delayed to December 8, 2024.
Solo Leveling: ReAwankening now in theaters
Solo Leveling will debut new episodes starting next month, but fans can have a sneak peek by watching Solo Leveling -ReAwakening-, which is currently in theaters. The movie recaps the first season, but also shows the first two episodes of the upcoming season.
Titled Solo Leveling: Arise from the Shadows, the second season will be 13 episodes long, and will cover the Red Gate Arc.
