Thursday night’s Game Awards show was packed with everything from the reveal of Naughty Dog’s next game to a first look at The Witcher 4. To celebrate, PlayStation has discounted several games that were either nominated for awards or featured in some way during this year’s Game Awards, but the limited-time discounts won’t be available for long.
It’s a smaller sale than usual by PlayStation standards with just 44 discounted games to choose from as opposed to the usual 500+ However, pretty much every game included in the sale is a big one. Helldivers 2, for instance, which had a very big night. Arrowhead not only debuted a reveal trailer for the Helldivers’ sequel’s long-awaited Illuminate update, but the update is already live.

If you don’t already own Helldivers 2, you can pick it up now for less and jump into the new update right away. The Super Citizen Edition, which comes with additional cosmetics, a Warbond, and the stratagem minigame, is down from its usual $60 to $47.99. You’ll be able to play it on an official Helldivers 2 DualSense soon too as the controller was revealed shortly after the Illuminate update was rolled out.

PlayStation’s Game Awards sale also includes a way for those who have fallen behind on Final Fantasy 7‘s remakes to catch up on the story so far. The Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth & Remake twin pack, which is usually $119.99 since it includes two pretty substantial games, is a whopping 40 percent off. That brings its price down to $71.99 and since Rebirth is $70 when bought all by itself, it basically means you’re getting Remake for $2.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake And Rebirth Twin Pack
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth launches on February 29, 2024, and will build on the first part of the story told in Remake. PlayStation is now selling Remake and Rebirth together as a twin pack so you can be fully caught up on the story so far ahead of the third and final part of the trilogy.
There are a lot of other still very new games included in the sale that were featured during The Game Awards in some way. Metaphor: ReFantazio, which many thought would win GOTY on Thursday night, has had its Atlus 35th Anniversary Edition reduced from $100 to $74.99. You can also get Stellar Blade and Silent Hill 2‘s deluxe editions for 25 and 35 percent off, respectively.
Not everything you can get for less on the PlayStation Store is confined to its Game Awards sale. Bloodborne’s complete edition is half price meaning you can pick it up for only $17.49. Bloodborne fans are likely still seething that it no-showed at The Game Awards after getting their hopes up again, but on the bright side, Bloodborne will be on sale for a few days longer than the other games since it isn’t bound by the limitations of the TGA sale.
