The Japanese side of the Pokemon TCG is the first place you’ll find the newest card art before it makes its way over to English sets. Terastal Festival ex is packed with several stunning cards you’ll find in the English set, Prismatic Evolutions, but for now, you can find their Japanese counterparts – if you’re willing to pay for them.

Whether you’re a fan of Umbreon or one of the newer Paradox Pokemon, Terastal Festival ex has something for you to enjoy.
Cards are ordered according to their TCGPlayer Market Price, which is the average price you might pay for a copy of the cards below.

Raging Bolt ex (Special Art Rare) – $38.75
A Comic Or a Card?
Raging Bolt’s debut in Paldea was met with mixed reviews, along with the Paradox Pokemon renditions of classic legendary designs, including reimaginations of Suicune and Entei. However, this artwork takes Raging Bolt’s design to the next level, offering levels of detail you might expect from a comic book panel rather than a trading card.
The high level of detail and incredible use of color sets this Paradox Pokemon apart from other options, like Iron Crown, with its high valuation upon release indicating its position as a strong contender for the best Paradox Pokemon in Paldea.
6
Roaring Moon ex (Special Art Rare) – $50.00
A Roaring Scene
Roaring Moon’s artwork follows up on the similar style found in Raging Bolt’s iteration, with this card looking to earn a place among Roaring Moon’s most valuable cards when it drops in Prismatic Evolutions.

5
Flareon ex (Special Art Rare) – $54.99
A Fiery Explosion
Flareon’s Pokemon TCG career has been long and impressive, but it never received a card quite like this. There have been gorgeous slice-of-life scenes from various sets, but the introduction of the Terastal Crown offers a rainbow explosion that gives this Fire-type an extra bit of heat.
Flareon might fall short of the upper echelon of Eeveelutions, but this art brings it into the conversation as one of the standout Special Art Rares in Terastal Festival ex. The one negative aspect of the card is the scene is very busy with color, which causes Flareon to blend into the background.
4
Leafeon ex (Special Art Rare) – $64.38
A Gleaming Green Scene
Leafeon leaps into the top spots with one of its most eye-catching designs ever, boasting a beautifully verdant background that complements Leafeon’s lighter color palette.
The concentration on different shades of green in this scene is spectacular, as the colors are darker around the border but lighter in the center to give Leafeon the level of lighting and attention it deserves. Leafeon’s SAR is likely to remain one of the best cards in Terastal Festival ex for the foreseeable future.
Watch for this card to command a hefty price in Prismatic Evolutions.
3
Espeon ex (Special Art Rare) – $69.99
A Sparkling Crown
Most of Espeon’s most valuable cards hail from fantastic vintage sets, but this Eeveelution has seen a resurgence since the Sword & Shield era, as this card completes a trio of stunning Espeon cards, along with its Fusion Strike and Evolving Skies alternate arts.

Espeon’s strong value in Terastal Festival is impressive, but there’s still plenty of room for growth, especially considering the prices that the top cards in Terastal Festival are fetching.
2
Sylveon ex (Special Art Rare) – $161.00
Shining Bright And White
Sylveon’s consistency in the Pokemon TCG is impressive, as it seems to boast a new valuable card with each passing generation. From its fantastic Tag Team with Gardevoir in the Sun and Moon era to the stunning solo art in Sword & Shield’s Evolving Skies, Sylveon keeps its streak alive in Scarlet & Violet.
Sylveon captures a deservedly high placement, though Japan has shown its preference for Sylveon might not translate in English, as Glaceon outperforms its peer in Evolving Skies.
Wherever Sylveon’s price settles, there’s no arguing that its silky white coat and pink accents are the perfect pairing when surrounded by the swirling pink background that this card has.
1
Umbreon ex (Special Art Rare) – $438.00
The New Moonbreon
As the first modern Moonbreon cements itself as the top card from the Sword & Shield era, the second iteration prepares for a meteoric rise of its own. This card gives Umbreon center stage as its Terastal crown is perfectly aligned with the glowing moon behind it, creating a halo effect that makes this card pop.
At over $400, Umbreon ex claims another crown – the title of the most expensive card in Terastal Festival ex. While there was little doubt that Umbreon’s popularity would carry it high above the rest, it still impresses with an unbelievably wide margin of victory. This card might be the new Moonbreon, but only time will tell which version will retain a higher value.
