Cosmetics are a staple of many online games, and Marvel Rivals is no different. There are a large range of costumes, emotes, and sprays that you can unlock and use as you play as characters from the Marvel Universe.
There are various ways to earn these cosmetics, including unlocking the Battle Pass and simply playing the game to complete missions. Since the game is fairly new at the time of writing this, many players are wondering how they can use the sprays and emotes that they unlock. So, here is how you equip your cosmetics and use them in-game.

For those just starting out in Marvel Rivals, here are easiest heroes for beginners to make use of.
How to Equip and Use Sprays and Emotes
To equip Sprays and Emotes in Marvel Rivals, you need to navigate to the Heroes tab at the top of the screen in the main menu. From here, click on the hero that you want to equip sprays and emotes to. In this menu, you’ll find the costumes, emotes, and sprays you own which can be equipped on that hero.
All you need to do is go to the relevant tab at the top of the screen, then click equip on the bottom right and place the emote and/or spray on the wheel that pops up.There isn’t a way to universally equip emotes and sprays for all heroes, so you’ll need to customize each hero you want in order to get the sprays and emotes on the wheel.
Once you’ve got your cosmetics ready, you can hold ‘T’ while in-game and select the relevant emote or spray to use while playing. You can also customize your controls for this by going to settings and finding the Customized Communication under the Communication menu on either keyboard or controller, depending on what you’re using.
How to Unlock Sprays and Emotes
While each Hero starts out with a default spray, emote, and costume, you can also unlock more cosmetics either by completing the Battle Pass or buying them in the shop. The Battle Pass can be viewed under the Season tab in the main menu, and some cosmetics can be earned by completing missions or by unlocking the Luxury Battle Pass. You can also check out which sprays and emotes are available for each hero in their respective cosmetic menus.
There are different types of missions, but the easiest way to get currency for the Battle Pass is by checking out the Daily Missions and completing them. You have the ability to refresh them three times if you aren’t fond of what you have, and they range from upvoting other players to winning matches and getting a certain amount of healing. There are also Challenges that last about a month or so, and you can also refresh these, but they will take a lot more time to complete than the Daily Missions.
The seasonal event will also help you get currency for unlocking cosmetics in the Battle Pass when you complete the missions. These are a little more complicated, though, requiring you to play specific heroes and on specific maps. You can also get new cosmetics in the store, which includes bundles for various heroes in Marvel Rivals.
