Sunday is one such strong character released during the Version 2.7 update as the five-star Imaginary unit on the path of Harmony. Unfortunately, apart from a few obvious options, his teams are a little limited in the game.
Jing Yuan Returns

One of the most popular topics in the Honkai: Star Rail community after Sunday’s reveal was how Jing Yuan is finally going to return to the meta. Sunday is the first character who can advance a summon’s turn, which is exactly what Jing Yuan needed since his main back draw was the length between Lightning Lord attacks.
With this team, you’ll easily be able to clear any type of endgame content, especially Pure Fiction and Memory of Chaos due to constant damage. Robin doesn’t generally work with Jing Yuan, but the constant Lightning Lord attacks due to Sunday also allow her to work in this team, though the energy regeneration will still be a problem.
If you’re using this team, it’s important to have
Sunday’s SPD just below Jing Yuan
since this lets the latter take two turns in a row.
You can also use Jade as Robin’s replacement and use her buff on Jing Yuan to get both increased damage and extra attacks, which are especially useful in Pure Fiction. Finally, Aventurine is the last piece of the puzzle with even more follow-up attacks to support Robin’s energy regen while keeping the team alive.

Who would’ve thought that there would be a day when an Abundance character being used as the main DPS would actually be viable? Sunday can truly make anything possible. Lingsha is a special healer since she already deals a ton of damage when you put her in a Break-based team with a ton of Break Effect.
However, even without that team, she has consistent damage instances on all the enemies with her Skill, Ultimate, and follow-up attack. If you manage to build her on Crit, you can get some decent use out of all these attacks with the right supports, though it can be difficult to have all these supports on your account.
Since Sunday provides both Crit Rate and Crit DMG, it
isn’t entirely impossible to make this team work
even though there’s not a good Abundance Light Cone to support it.
Argenti Sunday Team

While Lingsha’s team with Sunday is gimmicky at best even with the right supports, the same can’t be said for this one as it’s a viable option for endgame content. Much like every other Erudition character, Argenti released with a phenomenal kit but there were specific parts of it that held him back.
These were mainly the reliance on specific support and the length between his Ultimates due to high energy requirements. While the first part is still true, the second one gets solved with Sunday’s release since he now has three support units constantly buffing his Energy.
Apart from the energy regen, Sunday
also gives Argenti consistent turns
, making it even easier to get his Ultimate.
Much like the Jing Yuan team, you’d want Sunday to have slightly lower SPD than Argenti to get the most out of this one.
