Rebirth Of Souls Trailer Hints At Alternate Outfits

Rebirth Of Souls Trailer Hints At Alternate Outfits

Key Takeaways

  • Just like in 2024, 2025 will also see a number of high-profile anime game releases, including potentially Bleach: Rebirth of Souls.
  • The game is seemingly set for a 2025 release, and Bandai Namco has been dropping character overview trailers left and right.
  • In its most recent trailer, alternate outfits have seemingly been confirmed, opening the door for some of Bleach’s most iconic outfits to be in the game.

While many will consider 2024 to be the definitive year for anime video games, with the likes of Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, a new Gundam Breaker and DLC for Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections, 2025 is shaping up to be as noteworthy.

CrunchyRoll has hundreds of shows on offer at any given time, so there’s likely something for everyone!

For reference, Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact was delayed into 2025, and an official Edens Zero game is also coming in 2025. Elsewhere, the Dragom Ball Daima DLC for Dragon Bal Z Kakarot will also be coming in 2025, as will the Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection.

Oh, and the first Bleach console game in ages is also seemingly set for a 2025 release. Bleach: Rebirth of Souls may be a bit of a ways off, but Bandai Namco has kept the stove hot with constant character trails for the likes of Renji, Grimmjow and Izuru. On Monday, a trailer for Mayuri was revealed, and perhaps the most noteworthy part is that alternate outfits have been seemingly confirmed.

Bleach Has Always Had Drip

In the overview of Mayuri’s abilities, Uryu is shown wearing the outfit he wore during the Soul Society arc. That outfit is a Soul Reaper uniform that is different from his Quincy uniform that he later dons, and that was present in his character specific trailer.

The presence of alternate outfits should come as no surprise, though the confirmation is a very nice treat. More so, it appears that these outfits will be baked into the game’s base roster, helping remove any early Day 1 DLC for cosmetics.

More than anything, though, it opens the door for a wealth of alternate costumes from throughout Bleach’s anime and manga run. If there is one thing that Bleach is known for, it’s the excellent character design work by Tite Kubo, including some iconic outfits.

Even though the game will seemingly only cover a handful of early arcs, there is no shortage of iconic outfits from throughout that stretch. Personally, this writer is hoping that Soul Society Ichigo with the cape can be included.
