To trigger The Mistress of All Evil quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, there are a few steps you need to complete:

Once all the previous steps are finished, Maleficent’s Castle unlocks and The Mistress of All Evil quest is triggered.

Upon entering the castle through the cave, speak with Maleficent to find out her pets wreaked havoc, and even she can’t stop them. So, Dreamers offer The Mistress of All Evil to search for her missing throne and a spinning wheel to return the items to their proper position.

Maleficent’s Throne Location

Approach the door with two stone tiles and use the shovel to flip the tiles. The correct symbols are a Dragon on top and a Rook (Chess piece) on the bottom. You can figure this out by searching the walls of the hallway where Maleficent is standing.

Enter the room only to find a bigger stone tile puzzle. There are clues all over the room and some are even hidden behind a moveable bookcase. Keep in mind that two of the tiles don’t have a symbol. The correct solution is:

  • Rook →? → Dragon (Top)
  • Dragon → Rook → Rook (Middle)
  • Dragon →? → Dragon (Bottom)

Open the chest behind the curtain once the puzzle is solved in Disney Dreamlight Valley and take Maleficent’s Throne.

Maleficent’s Spinning Wheel Location

Get out of the previous room and head right to the stairs next to the entrance. Climb it and remove the inkies to find a wheel. Take it and place it near the door across the previous room. Use the Royal Net to open the door and proceed ahead, then head left to find the second puzzle behind a moveable bookcase.

The correct order is Rook (I) → Dragon (II) → Wolf (III) → Flower (IV). Take the Spinning Wheel and head back to Maleficent.

After you return the Throne and Spinning Wheel, you need to place all of Maleficent’s furniture back in its proper position. Players can complete this step by paying attention to the shadows on each wall. To put it simply, the item must be placed on the tiles where it matches its shadow on all three walls. You can see how the Fire is placed and use it as an example.

The Throne is pushed back far close to the wall, and needs to be centered. The Spinning Wheel is a few tiles in front of the throne, but pushed to the left side. Finally, the Candelabra is the closest to the front, but place it on the right side.

Once all the items are in their correct position, go through the portal to head into Maleficent’s throne room. Use the Royal Net to slow her pets down, which are frog Snippets, and then catch them. Finally, speak with Maleficent to end The Mistress of All Evil quest.
