Blumhouse made horror fans very happy when M3GAN was released in January 2023, and now there is a first look at the killer doll sequel M3GAN 2.0.
Vanity Fair shared an image of the M3GAN doll with Adrien Morot, the lead puppeteer of the movie, and star Violet McGraw. The original movie follows Cady (McGraw), a young girl who is grieving the loss of her parents and whose aunt Gemma (Allison Williams) takes her in. Gemma thinks that she can ease this painful and challenging transition with an artificially intelligent doll named M3GAN. Of course, this is a terrible idea as the doll is evil, and they have to fight her.

A Netflix Horror Movie Stephen King Loves Is Getting A Sequel
Stephen King is a big fan of a Netflix horror movie that premiered on the streaming service in the summer of 2024, and now there will be a sequel.
James Wan knew he wanted to make M3GAN 2.0 and the sequel was announced in January 2023. Since that was the same month that the original was released in movie theaters, it was clearly a big hit. According to Box Office Mojo, the first movie grossed $180,089,109 worldwide.
In an interview with Variety in January 2023, Williams shared that she was happy that horror fans have responded so well to M3GAN. She also talked about the sequel and said:
“It’s gonna be really fun if we get to work on it, to figure out how we can zig and zag that around the expectations of what it would be and try to keep things surprising while also delivering on the reasons that people want more in the first place.”
Since Cady and Gemma are appearing in M3GAN 2.0, fans can guess that the killer doll is trying to ruin their lives once again. Perhaps, this time around, M3GAN will be even scarier and more threatening. She might figure out how to manipulate humans even more than she already did, which would definitely make the sequel bigger and better. She already is one step ahead of the humans in her life, and it will be cool to see what she’s like in the sequel.
Although specific plot details are unknown, the cast includes Timm Sharp, Brian Jordan Alvarez, Aristotle Athari, Jemaine Clement, and Jen Van Epps. Jenna Davis is the voice of the M3GAN doll. According to People, Davis shared her acting process and her hopes for the horror movie evil doll with some tricks up her sleeve: “I wanted to make sure she was an AI with personality, flare and sass.”
Blumhouse has several upcoming movies that horror fans will be interested in, from the creepy film Wolf Man to the M3GAN spinoff called SOULM8TE. Deadline reported that David Rysdahl, Lily Sullivan, and Claudia Doumit will star in the movie. M3GAN fans can look forward to catching M3GAN 2.0 in theaters on June 27th, 2025.
