Star Rail Version 3.0 Developer Radio talks about upcoming Relic Subsidiary Customization and Reroll Functions

Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.0 Developer Radio
  • Version 3.0 introduces re-roll system for relics and sub-stats!

Honkai: Star Rail, a free-to-play turn-based game from the Chinese game developer HoYoverse, has recently released another Developers Radio. These are aimed to discuss about what’s in store for future version updates and how many improvements are being made in the game. Here’s a rundown of the topics covered in the Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.0 Developer Radio.

Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.0 Developer Radio: Highlights

1. Customizing Relic Stats

You can now change not only the main stats of certain Relics but also their sub-stats using a new item called Wishful Resin. Here’s how it works:

  • Main Stats Adjustment: Use Self-Modeling Resin to change the main stats of the body, feet, Sphere, and Link Rope Relics.
  • Subsidiary Stats Adjustment: Use Wishful Resin along with Self-Modeling Resin to customize the extra stats (like Crit Rate, HP%, etc.).
  • Wishful Resin can only be used with Self-Modeling Resin, not by itself.

How to Get Wishful Resin

You can get Wishful Resin in these ways:

  • Nameless Honor Pass: Earn it for free by completing missions or get extra by purchasing Nameless Glory.
  • Synthesis: Combine 800 Relic Remains (extra Relic materials) to make 1 Wishful Resin. You can create up to 2 per version.
  • Exchange: Swap 1 Self-Modeling Resin for 1 Wishful Resin (Limit: 3 per month).

2. Rerolling Relic Stats

If your max-level Relic (Level 15) didn’t upgrade as you wanted, you can use Variable Dice to reroll its stat boosts. Rerolling keeps the same stats but redistributes how many boosts (enhancements) each stat gets. If you like the new results, you can keep them.

If not, you can stick with the original stats. Rerolling uses up Variable Dice, and these aren’t refunded. Variable Dice won’t change what stats are on the Relic, just how much they’re boosted.

How to Get Variable Dice

You can get Variable Dice in these ways:

  • Synthesis: Use 3 Self-Modeling Resins to make 1 Variable Die (no limit on how many you can make).
  • Nameless Honor Pass: Earn 1 by completing missions if you buy Nameless Glory.

3. Salvaging Enhanced Relics

If you have upgraded Relics you no longer want, you can now break them down for useful materials. Lower-Rarity Relics (2-4 stars) can be turned into Lost Gold Fragments and Credits. 5-Star Relics can be turned into Lost Gold Fragments, Credits, or Relic Remains. For example, a 5-star Relic at max level (Level 15) can be salvaged into 400 Relic Remains.

Final Thoughts

This is an immense QoL update for players in the coming Version 3.0 Farming Relics becomes easier since you can adjust stats to better fit your characters. Plus rerolling lets you fix bad upgrades. Any old or unwanted Relics can be salvaged for resources to help with future farming as well. Overall, this is a great improvement for the relic system.
