The Original Kamen Rider W Story

Kamen Rider W debuted in 2009, airing on the Toei’s Super Hero Time programming block in TV Asahi (like previous Kamen Rider series) and it was a commemorative series for the 10th Anniversary of Heisei’s Era Kamen Rider. It was later confirmed W is in the same “timeline” of the original 1971 Kamen Rider show.

The plot takes place in Fuuto (“Wind City”), a wind-powered city (for ecological reasons). The peaceful life in Fuuto is endangered when the Sonozaki Family starts selling devices knwon as Gaia Memories to criminals, who use it to become Dopants and be unstoppable by the police when commiting crimes. But these devices also drive them to madness, putting them in a sort of “berserk mode”. Detective Shotaro Hidari and his assistant Philip investigate these crimes and turn into Kamen Rider W. The FUUTO PI anime is available to stream on Crunchyroll. The original Kamen Rider W series is not officially licensed int the US.
