Streamer Beats Red Dead Redemption 2 Without Dying Once

Streamer Beats Red Dead Redemption 2 Without Dying Once

Key Takeaways

  • Streamer completes Red Dead Redemption 2 without dying on third attempt, overcoming previous challenges.
  • Many players create self-imposed rules for additional challenge in RDR2 to keep gameplay fresh.
  • Deathless playthrough took 30 hours, with potential for 100% completion being an enormous feat.

A dedicated Red Dead Redemption 2 streamer has managed to beat the entire main game without dying after multiple frustrating attempts. Even the most cautious Red Dead Redemption 2 players can find themselves accidentally dying due to the many hazards in Rockstar’s Western world, making this achievement even more impressive.

After six years, Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to encourage players to experience the game differently on repeat playthroughs. Like with this deathless playthrough, many of these challenges involve self-imposed rulesets to make the game feel more difficult. While Red Dead Redemption 2 isn’t the most difficult game in the world, it only gets easier with each new playthrough. There have been plenty of examples of these types of challenges since the game launched – one Red Dead Redemption 2 player even created their own Hardcore Mode ruleset, which involved disabling basically anything that could be an assistance to players.

For players who aren’t satisfied with the stunning open world of Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2, these mods help increase the game’s realism.

Streamer Crayator has managed to complete the entirety of Red Dead Redemption 2‘s story without dying. This includes the Epilogue, too, with their efforts now shifting towards reaching the 100% completion marker. This can take some players hundreds of hours, so if Crayator manages to pull this off, it would be an enormous feat. All it takes is one unfortunate fall from a horse, and this playthrough could be brought to an unfortunate end.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Deathless Run Completed on Third Attempt

This Red Dead Redemption 2 challenge wasn’t all smooth sailing for Crayator. Their deathless run was actually their third attempt at this, with the first two ending early at the hands of a train and a bear. Their actual deathless run took around 30 hours in total, which is actually pretty fast for an average Red Dead Redemption 2 playthrough. Taking just three attempts to complete this is an equally impressive feat – Crayator had previously attempted the same challenge in Grand Theft Auto 5, too, giving up after eight deaths.

Whether Crayator returns to his previous Grand Theft Auto 5 challenge remains to be seen, but it would be interesting to see him achieve the same feat in Rockstar’s upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6. Considering that it seems like Red Dead Redemption 3 isn’t coming any time soon, it might be Crayator’s only chance to get his Rockstar fix if he wants to continue doing these deathless runs in the future. It’s a cool concept, so it would definitely be interesting to see him attempt it when Grand Theft Auto 6 launches.
