One roadblock when connecting the PS VR1 to the PS5 is the lack of a compatible camera port. The free Sony adapter solves that issue with a straightforward installation process. The component connects to a USB port on the rear of the PS5, while the PS4 camera connects to the device’s AUX port. Once setup is complete, playing VR-supported PS4 titles on the newer console is possible. Also, gamers can use the PlayStation Move and PS VR Aim Controller for realistic inputs when engaged in virtual worlds.
PS VR1 owners automatically qualify for Sony’s free adapter. The manufacturer has set up an automated request system on its website, which requires entering the PS VR’s serial number.
