It can be tricky to realise how to get up to this platform where the chest is, so we’re going to cover exactly how to get there in this guide, as well as the extra points of interest along the way.
How To Get To The Chest In The Castle Bailey
Once you’ve entered the Castle Bailey by going through the Grey Warden Castle to the south, you’ll need to use Taash’s ability to access a new area, if you haven’t done so already as part of ‘The Warden Vault’ quest.
After entering the bailey, up on a wall to your right is an explosive barrel that you can use Taash’s ability on (or Rook with their dagger) to make a ladder fall down. Climb up the ladder, then turn right and jump onto the wooden beam.
Follow the beams onto the castle wall, then continue onward until you reach the tower. Here, you’ll find the Free Marches Guardian Memento, as well as a chest with the Warden’s Key Amulet.
Once you’ve grabbed both, take the ladder down onto the platform. Then jump down to the left of the ladder to reach the platform with the chest below, where you can bag yourself a new weapon for Rook.
Be careful not to jump forward into the bailey as you might miss the platform entirely and have to start again.
