  • LINE GetRich GO has soft launched in Indonesia and Thailand on Android and iOS.
  • Players can attack rivals, steal resources, and upgrade buildings while unlock characters.
  • The gameplay similarities puts it in direct competition with Scopely’s hit MONOPOLY GO!

Yet another board-based dice game has popped up, and this time, it is from the house of LINE (LY Corporation). Titled LINE GetRich GO, the game has entered a soft launch phase in select regions on Android and iOS.

LINE GetRich GO features dice rolls, board movement, and landmark-building gameplay

The game is built around rolling dice, moving across a board, and building landmarks as you progress. You earn and spend Marbles, attack other players’ landmarks, steal resources, and unlock different characters, dice, and stamps.

On top of that, there are mini-games and time-limited events that reward you with extra resources. The game also leans heavily into multiplayer interaction. You can help friends, team up, compete against them, or even mess with their progress by attacking their landmarks.

If the gameplay already feels familiar, that is because LINE GetRich GO clearly sits in the same space as Scopely’s MONOPOLY GO!, a little inspiration in the title, too, maybe. Just like in MONOPOLY GO!, you roll dice to move around a board, collect cash, upgrade locations, take part in events, and interact with other players by attacking or stealing.

There’s no denying that MONOPOLY GO! is dominating this genre, but I can see LINE GetRich GO looks to be aiming to attract players who enjoy that loop but want something fresh. There are some pretty elements in the art for a change. It could end up sharing the audience rather than replacing it.

At the time of writing, LINE GetRich GO is available in Indonesia and Thailand. Players in these regions can download the game on Android via the Google Play Store and on iOS through the App Store. There is no word yet on a global release date, so for now, players outside these regions will have to wait.
