Quarantine Zone: The Last Check has a new, randomly chosen directive quest sent from the Major every day. These can range from a search for contraband to tracking down a specific survivor, or even killing wandering zombies around the camp.
The Kids Aren’t Alright is a quest that turns up after several days in the quarantine zone and requires you to find a runaway teen girl who has escaped an orphanage. Here is everything you need to know about finding the right survivor and completing the directive.
How To Find The Runaway Teenage Orphan
Directives are random daily quests posted on the noticeboard that ask you to complete certain tasks for a bit of extra cash. With that money, you can upgrade your base and purchase resources.
The Kids Aren’t Alright directive usually shows up around 14 days into the Campaign Mode, or randomly when playing the Endless Mode. You have one day to find a runaway teenage girl covered in bruises and send her to quarantine to receive $1,200.

THE KIDS AREN’T ALRIGHT
There’s a sixteen-year-old girl who escaped a local orphanage. They say the place was exceptionally cruel: beatings, injections, exposure. You’ll recognize her by the symptoms. If she shows up, send her straight to quarantine. We need information about the monsters who did this to her.
Duration: 1 days
Goal: Target sent to quarantine.
Reward: 1200$
There are a few key points laid out in the directive that give clues about the target survivor. The survivor you are looking for is:
- Female
- 16 years old
- Covered in bruises
These clues will help you eliminate any survivor who doesn’t fit the description. Sort through them all as normal, uncovering symptoms, removing contraband, and sending them to quarantine, the survivor block, or liquidation.
Scan every part of the female survivors to look for bruises; they are usually all across the torso on the front and the back, but they could appear anywhere.
You’ll be looking for the green and pale blue bruising, not dark red bruises.
Make sure to check every female survivor’s personal details in the symptom chart and look for the age of the person. Remember: you are looking for a 16-year-old girl, so check their age in the survivor description.
Once you have discovered the right survivor, send them straight to quarantine to complete the quest and get your reward of $1,200.
