Pokémon UNITE has announced three regional online esports leagues for North America, Latin America, and Europe. As per the roadmap for the events, each will have two slots for the upcoming global event in mid-2026. Now, Pokémon UNITE Championship Series 2026 Latin America (LA) League is set to begin this week and will run till the last week of April. This article will talk all about the MOBA event.
Pokémon UNITE Championship Series 2026 LA League: Schedule and Format
The Latin American teams that received direct invitations will compete in this event. This is a part of three regional league which are all invitation-only. Teams from North America, Latin America, and Europe will compete for over $500,000 in total prizes. The region is divided into two zones; however, playing within a single regional stage.
The top five teams from each Regional League will earn spots in the 2027 UCS Regional Leagues. The top two teams will earn the 2026 World Championship tickets in San Francisco, California.
The five weeks of double round robin matches will take place from the beginning. All the teams will meet each other twice, and the top five will advance to the playoffs.
After the round robin stage ends, the Playoffs will begin, where all the matches will be Best of 5 (BO5). The first match will be between the fourth and fifth-placed teams from the previous stage. While the winner of the previous match competes with the next-seeded team, this will continue till the finals.
Prize Pool
The event will have a total prize pool of $160,000. The champion will get about one-third of the whole amount, while the next-ranked teams will also receive a fair share. Here’s a breakdown of the prize for the event:
