- KRAFTON India officially takes over Real Cricket publishing while Nautilus continues development duties.
- New update brings IPL team licenses, motion-captured animations, visuals upgrade, and more new additions.
- KRAFTON’s involvement promises stronger management, bigger audience reach, and long-term improvements.
Real Cricket has been around for so long that most cricket fans in India have played it at least once, at least in the 2D era of the game, which I consider the best. It’s one of those games that just slipped into everyone’s phone at some point, even if you weren’t a hardcore cricket gamer.
So when I saw that KRAFTON India is officially taking over publishing duties from Nautilus Mobile, my first reaction was that this might actually be good for the game. That said, Real Cricket is all polished and ready for you to update into a new edition that packs some new features and official licenses.
KRAFTON India’s hand over publishing is expected to bring more audiences: Here’s why
I see some excellent additions here with the update. In-game, we’ll see official IPL team licenses, better visuals, motion-captured animations, new Hindi commentary, and the updated RC Pass, while the Real Rewards T20 Series gets in-game performance that can turn into real-life prizes.
If you are confused, “why KRAFTON”, the move isn’t random either. KRAFTON already picked up a big controlling stake in Nautilus earlier this year, and now they’re stepping in to handle all publishing work while Nautilus focuses fully on development.
For a game like Real Cricket, this kind of setup can make a noticeable difference. First is the audience. The cricket following is massive, and as hence, for a game of that scale, it definitely needs strong management. With publishing and development responsibilities shared, I feel the game is in a better position to handle that demand.
Next is the “big name promise”. KRAFTON India’s track record boasts Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), and with their ambitious plans to bring in new cricket experiences and India-tailored titles, no doubt that more players will jump in simply because they believe in the brand.
I feel the experience has always been the best, and yet there’s a good sense of promise that the game will only continue getting better. Android and iOS players, it might be your time to test out the new update, smash a few sixes, and share your thoughts here, yeah? Will be waiting.
