What are Demon Wedges

Demon Wedges are special equipment items in Duet Night Abyss that enhance your characters and weapons beyond their base stats. Think of them as the game’s version of relics or mods, and each piece adds valuable bonuses such as increased ATK, CRIT Rate, Skill DMG, or survivability boosts.

More importantly, Demon Wedges can also unlock synergy effects that completely transform how your builds function. There are two main types of Demon Wedges: Character Demon Wedges and Weapon Demon Wedges. As the names suggest, Character Wedges boost your hero’s personal stats, while Weapon Wedges enhance your offensive potential based on weapon type.

These two categories aren’t interchangeable, meaning you can’t equip a weapon wedge on a character slot, or vice versa. Each character and weapon comes with six Demon Wedge slots, though not all are available from the start. You’ll gradually unlock more slots as you level up and ascend your characters or weapons. So this progression system encourages steady investment over time, and once fully unlocked, your build possibilities expand dramatically.

How to get Demon Wedges in Duet Night Abyss

There are multiple ways to obtain Demon Wedges in Duet Night Abyss, each catering to different stages of your progression. The most consistent method is through Commissions, specifically, the Noctoyager Manual missions found under the Combat menu. Completing these stages rewards you with Demon Wedges, and higher-level commissions grant higher rarity ones.

Early on, you’ll mostly get Blue and Purple Wedges from mid-tier commissions. As you reach more difficult stages, the drop pool widens to include stronger variants with better stats. And always make sure to equip a Commission Manual before starting a mission, because these consumables significantly increase your loot yield, sometimes doubling or tripling the number of wedges you earn.

Another major source of Demon Wedges is Covert Commissions. These special missions require Secret Letters, which can be purchased from the in-game shop once you’ve reached Trial Levels 45, 50, and 60. Using a Secret Letter before a run unlocks a specific Demon Wedge blueprint as a potential reward, allowing you to target rare Gold-tier Wedges.

However, because the rewards are randomized, you might need multiple attempts before obtaining the one you want. Once you collect a Demon Wedge blueprint, you can craft it at the Lunosmith in the Sanctuary. And forging a Gold Wedge requires materials like Carmine Globules, Coins, and the blueprint itself. You can also find blueprints through boss fights, quests, and limited-time events.

How to upgrade Demon Wedges in Duet Night Abyss

Equipping Demon Wedges is only the first step; upgrading them is where the real magic happens. Enhancing your wedges boosts their stat bonuses, unlocking greater power scaling and optimizing your builds for tougher challenges.

To upgrade a Demon Wedge, head to the Armoury, select your character or weapon, and open the Demon Wedge interface. Choose the wedge you want to upgrade, then spend Coins and Carmine Globules to increase its level. Carmine Globules are the core enhancement material for wedges and can be farmed from Commissions and other combat activities.

Each rarity tier has its own upgrade cap, and the higher the rarity, the more attributes it carries, and the more potential power you can unlock through upgrades. Just keep in mind that each level also increases the Tolerance cost of that wedge. If you exceed your character’s or weapon’s Tolerance Limit, you won’t be able to equip additional wedges until you remove or downgrade others.

How to use Demon Wedges in Duet Night Abyss

Using Demon Wedges effectively is a mix of understanding their mechanics and planning your equipment strategy. You can manage and equip them from the Armoury screen. Once there, select your character or weapon and click the Demon Wedge button in the lower-right corner to access your wedge interface.

From here, simply drag and drop the wedges into available slots. Alternatively, you can use the Quick Equip function to automatically assign compatible wedges based on your highest stats. Each equipped wedge immediately grants its bonuses to the selected character or weapon.

However, you’ll need to watch your Tolerance Limit, which dictates how many wedges can be equipped. Characters and weapons start with a modest limit that expands as you level up and ascend them. Ascension also unlocks additional slots, allowing for up to six wedges per unit.

Demon Wedges are especially crucial in the mid-to-late game, when stat scaling starts slowing down. But with a well-optimized wedge setup, your characters can maintain damage output, survive boss fights, and clear commissions faster.
