Webzen Inc. has announced that its new open-world action RPGDragon Sword, is now open for pre-registration on both Android and iOS in South Korea. Originally revealed as Project D in 2021, the game is being developed by Hound 13, and it recently held a closed-beta test this year.

Dive into a fun adventure and uncover the secrets of Orbis

Dragon Sword is a full-fledged open-world ARPG set in the peaceful continent of Orbis, now slowly falling into darkness as dragons reappear after sixty years. Here, you play as Lute, a member of a mercenary band, embarking on an exciting adventure in the pursuit of the fabled Dragon Sword.

As you slay dragons, you’ll earn the glorious title tied to the legends of Orbis. The story unfolds in a time when the continent was once protected by a goddess’s sacrifice, now shrouded in mystery and chaos. Now, I’m looking forward to exploring the ancient ruins and uncovering the secrets of the reawakened dragon.

Players can try real-time character switching and enjoy endless adventures

What excites me most is the dynamic battles filled with aerial combos, knockbacks, and real-time character switching. That said, I can already imagine forming bonds with mercenaries and pulling off seamless transitions and combos mid-battle. And the ability to switch between three characters, like Johnny, Castella, and more, in real time sounds fun.

Overall, the game clearly draws inspiration from fan-favorite titles like Genshin Impact, yet feels fun with its combat and overall charm powered by Unreal Engine 5. It surely looks promising with its blend of adventures, strategic battles, adorable characters, mounts, cross-platform support, and more. Plus, I’m more confident as Hound 13, known for Hundred Soul, is behind it.

Dragon Sword is now open for pre-registration on both Android and iOS. You can now pre-register for the game via the Google Play Store or App Store. According to the App Store’s listing, we can expect the game to launch on March 31, 2026. It’s quite a wait, but honestly, if the game delivers what it promises, I’m ready to wait.
