- Game will come pre-installed on Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max smartphones.
Creators of the Angry Birds franchise, Rovio Entertainment, have officially announced that the title is making a grand return to Mainland China. The game will now be available in partnership with Kingsoft Shiyou, the core gaming subsidiary of Kingsoft Corporation Limited, alongside mobile manufacturer Xiaomi.
Rovio aims to reconnect with fans and reach a new generation of Angry Birds fans in China
Rovio sees this as more than just a return. The mention that Angry Birds has always been about “simple yet engaging fun”, and this new release gives an entirely new generation in China a chance to experience it firsthand. At the same time, it offers long-time fans a way to relive the original gameplay that turned Angry Birds into a global phenomenon.

As part of the relaunch, Angry Birds will come pre-installed on the new Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max smartphones. That means players from the region can jump straight into the game the moment they turn on their latest Xiaomi phones, so no downloads are needed.
From the poster, it appears that Angry Birds 2 will see a launch first. For Rovio, this relaunch could be the start of bigger things. Beyond this first step, there’s potential for more localized content, new events, and other ways to keep Chinese players engaged.

First would be the plethora of new titles we are constantly seeing on our mobile screens. Most recent one being Angry Birds Rush, be it Angry Birds Bounce on Apple Arcade, there are also different genres of games like Angry Birds Block Quest and Angry Birds Kingdom.
