KONAMI has introduced a new pack in eFootball 2026 titled Rising Prodigies, featuring young talents Pau Cubarsí, Rayan Cherki, and Joao Neves. This one focuses on high-potential players who are still developing both on the real pitch and in the game.
While the idea of spotlighting future stars feels refreshing, it also raises questions about how impactful these cards can be compared to the established options already available from earlier Epic packs this season. Let me review these cards and share my verdict on whether this is a good pack to opt for.
Rayan Cherki
- Position: AMF
- Playing Style: Classic No. 10
- Show Time Skill: Blitz Curler and Phenomenal Pass
Cherki feels like a card built for pure flair and highlights. On the ball, he has silky close control, you can spin defenders with ease, and skill moves flow naturally. Dribbling is really fantastic on this card, and it has 90s numbers in pace, so you can burst quickly.
His Blitz Curler adds that extra magic when cutting inside, and it really feels fun pulling off those finesse goals. I have his passing in the high 80s, and it feels smooth and accurate, so he can feed strikers in tight spaces without much trouble. No weak foot is absolutely one of the strong points here.
The issue comes with his stamina; he fades quickly. Physical game didn’t give me any troubles, but he can get bullied if you try holding the ball. He can be an insane substitute card in this game, gets two strong skill sets, and comes with awesome numbers.
Pau Cubarsí
- Position: CB
- Playing Style: Build Up
- Show Time Skill: Visionary Pass and Fortress
Cubarsí is that calm CB who feels very steady on the ball, which is rare for defenders in this game. With those passing numbers, he can ping forward balls smoothly, making him more than just a stopper. His tackling is clean, he positions well, and doesn’t dive in recklessly, which gives confidence at the back.
I can see players might be concerned with the pace, but with the auto build itself, he gets the 80s pace, which is pretty good, and can be pushed closer to the 90s without affecting the defensive numbers. However, what he lacks is brute force.
He doesn’t bully strikers or dominate aerially like the big-name CBs. This can be negated by having a Destroyer CB next to him. Also, something I’m not a fan of is defenders not getting defensive showtime skills like Aerial Fort or Long-Range Tackle, so that’s a miss. Give Heading and Acrobatic Clearance skills to this card.
João Neves
- Position: CMF
- Playing Style: Box To Box
- Show Time Skill: Long-Range Tackle
A really solid box-to-box card to begin with, Neves is all about energy and presence in midfield. He runs constantly, presses hard, and covers ground like a proper engine that you need in your squad. Dribbling is smooth, and his build is the type that requires you to handle the ball well.
Passing is really impressive, and it gets the needed skills to create. Defensively, he gets solid numbers. The ST skill Long-Range Tackle actually works well in-game, letting him poke the ball cleanly even when chasing from behind.
On the other hand, physically, he isn’t strong enough to shrug off bigger midfielders, and shooting is nothing special either. I do think shooting is a miss since B2B cards can be decent goal threats, but that doesn’t stop him from being a solid option to spin. Orchestrator playstyle would have suited better.
All three cards are usable and interesting for specific playstyles, but none of them really stand out as must-have game changers. It feels more like a future-focused pack rather than one to shake up your squad right now.
Cubarsi and Cherki are really strong cards, but just focusing on the meta, I feel Cubarsi should have gotten a Defensive Show Time skill instead of Fortress, and it would have instantly made this pack better.
