How to beat the Drills and Spills Challenge

Clash of Clans Drills and Spills Challenge

New season, new challenges! Clash of Clans has arrived with the first challenge of the month titled Drills and Spills, and as expected, we have a new base to beat. The Mash-A-Rama Season is underway, so here’s a quick guide on how to beat the base.

Introducing the Drills and Spills Challenge in Clash of Clans

Another showcase of the Hero skins based on the new season, and we have a decent troop combination too to finish off the base in question. The base is pretty easy compared to other challenges; just use the strategy, and it is an easy task.

The rewards will be distributed as in previous challenges; you will receive extra resources along with 400 XP, 25 Gems, and 1x Resource Potion. Again, not so much to be excited about.

How to beat the Drills and Spills Challenge in Clash of Clans

Begin by dropping your Lightning Spells on the Air Sweeper to the left of the Town Hall, ensuring your air troops won’t be disrupted later. Next, place your Earthquake Spells over the Invisibility Spell Tower to deal damage to the Monoliths.

Deploy your Barbarian King at the bush near the top of the base, activating his ability right away to deal with the defenses and those Monoliths nearby. From there, move to the right side of the base and start the ground push.

Drop your two Ice Golems, followed by a Wall Breaker, then send in your PEKKA, Yetis, Super Valkyrie, Apprentice Warden, Furnace Queen, Grand Warden, and Healers. Rage them over the core defenses to push through.

On the right flank, deploy your Balloons and Dragons with the Minion Prince behind them. As Clan Castle troops emerge, use your Poison Spell to clear them, while placing a Skeleton Spell over the remaining Monolith to keep it distracted.

Now set up the Lava Hound and another Wall Breaker near the tree on the right side. Once the wall is opened, send in the second Wall Breaker along with your two Headhunters. Hold onto your hero abilities until their health starts dipping, but try to save the Warden’s ability for the back end of the attack.

This becomes especially useful when your LavaLoon push faces the single-target Inferno. Use the Ice Block Spell as your troops approach the far side of the base, just to make sure. Finally, the Minion Prince’s ability will help him take less damage, and if you need to revive any hero, he’s the best option.

So once powered up, he can carry the rest of the attack. With this strategy, three stars come comfortably. Check our other Clash of Clans articles below:
