And it’s time for another side event! Amidst the ongoing Ragnarok: After Daybreak event, EA introduces the Grassroot Greats event to FC Mobile 25! From local leagues to stardom, the event Grassroot Greats highlights Icons, Heroes, and players who climbed through the football ranks and achieved international success!
As revealed earlier back in June, Grassroot Greats arrives as a bridge between the final Ragnarok event and the upcoming Captains event in FC Mobile. Play through the stories of six Grassroot Greats and use your Shards to recruit from a new lineup of event players!
FC Mobile 25 Grassroot Greats Event Description
Event Duration: August 14th – August 27th (14 Days)

FC Mobile 25 Grassroot Greats Event Flow
Main
First things first, Grassroot Greats is a mini-event. And unlike other mini-events, this one has a Main Tab which, like most events from this season, acts as a guide to the other chapters and the overall event. Challenge the glorious legacy of the Grassroot Greats, and earn various rewards.
Additionally, there is a set of Milestone Rewards as well, offering Grassroot Greats Shards, Training Transfer Points Coins, and Gems from completing the next two event chapters, ie, Road to Greats and Greats Stories. These tasks are fairly simple and involve you after completing certain tasks in the chapters.
Road to Greats
In the Road to Greats tab, which is the functional Main tab in this event, you will be logging in every day and will be working through, comprising two Skill Games and two PvE Matches to earn Coins, Gems, Grassroot Greats Tokens, and Grassroot Greats Pass Points every day in the Road to Greats section.
This is where the story begins, complete Skill Games or Matches to earn Grassroot Greats Tokens. Additionally, there are Milestone Rewards as well on the right-hand side based on the number of Skill Games and Matches you complete from the Road to Greats section.
Complete Road to Greats to claim the rewards. The rewards include Coins, Gems, Grassroot Greats Shards, and even Universal Rank Player – Mascheranos! The Milestones are repeatable, and you can get each of the three sets of rewards for a total of three times.
Greats Stories
Next, you will be spending your hard-earned Grassroot Greats Tokens in the Greats Stories chapter. Unlike previous events, this is a unique Reward chapter, as you will be playing through the careers of six Icons and Heroes who are part of the Grassroot Greats event.
Here are the glorious stories of Grassroot Greats. Unlock their roster, complete their stories, and earn rewards! The players include Marcelo, Ian Wright, Iván Córdoba, Miroslav Klose, Jerzy Dudek, and Antonio Di Natale. Complete Great Stories to unlock Grassroot Greats rewards.
The players are all locked at first, and you can unlock them gradually every day with your Grassroot Greats Tokens by combining the Skill Talents and Fortitude Points. Edit Skill Talents and Fortitude Points, and then spend your Grassroot Greats Tokens to unlock various Greats Stories and claim rewards.
Do note that you can generate only a single Grassroot Greats event player every day. Once generated, you will be playing a PvE Match, reflecting the Player’s career highlight from the past. There are rewards for playing the matches and generating players, including Coins, Gems, and Grassroot Greats Pass Points.
There’s a Milestone Reward as well after generating all six of the Grassroot Greats event players, offering a choice among a Universal Rank Player – Mascherano, a 105-111 OVR Grassroot Greats event player, and a 107 OVR ST Ivan Toney. Unlock all Grassroot Greats rewards to choose one of the rewards.
Gallery
Next over here in the final Gallery Tab, whereas in past events, all the event-exclusive players are displayed. But this time, there’s a twist, similar to the Ragnarok: After Daybreak event, these players are not only available in Packs where you can avail them, provided your luck is great, but you can also get them in exchange for a new currency, Grassroot Greats Shards.
There are three sets of players, with the players ranging from 108-111 OVR, and all of them are untradeable. Provided that you accumulate the amount of Shards over the event, you can get them. Spend Grassroot Greats Shards to exchange for Grassroot Greats Players, and Exchange extra Grassroot Greats Players in turn for Grassroot Greats Shards.
Given that the Ragnarok: After Daybreak event offered some high-rated players, these players may seem less lucrative; however, if you are targeting any of the 111 OVR Icons, then don’t have second thoughts, they are certainly worth your Gems. Head over to the Gallery to find all the Players that were added that week.
Grassroot Greats Shard Exchange
Similar to the Ragnarok: After Daybreak event, there is an Exchange Store as well, but not in the Gallery Tab this time. The Grassroot Greats Shard Exchanges are in the Item Exchange section on the Game Hub screen. This is the place where you can exchange your Grassroot Greats event Players, should you manage to pull any.
Therefore, Grassroot Greats Shards can be earned through player exchange and used to exchange for specific players. In return, you can exchange Grassroot Greats event Players for Grassroot Greats Shards. The exchanges are very interesting and involve trading in Grassroot Greats event Players solely for Grassroot Greats Shards.
So, from the above image, if you exchange a 108 OVR Grassroot Greats event Player tradeable or untradeable that you don’t find suitable for your squad, you will get 60 Grassroot Greats Shards back, which you can later utilize to get a player suitable for your team.
Do note that you can perform the above exchanges, you can get Grassroot Greats event players either from the Market or by buying the Gem Pack offers from the Store for 2500-3000 Gems. But do remember that whichever player you are targeting from the event will be untradeable, and you can’t sell it in the market for a profit.
Grassroot Greats Pass
Similar to all the mini-events, there’s an event-specific Pass for Grassroot Greats as well. You need to complete the Skill Games and Matches from the Road to Greats and Greats Stories chapters to earn Grassroot Greats Pass Points and progress through the Grassroot Greats Pass.
There are two sides to the Pass, with, of course, the Paid Pass being more lucrative than the Free one. There are also in-game resources for the event present in the Grassroot Greats Pass. Gain progress through the Grassroot Greats Pass and earn Grassroot Greats Players, Universal Rank Players, FC Points, Gems, Training Transfer Points, Coins, and the Grassroot Greats Pass special player pre-ranked 114 OVR CB Iván Córdoba!
From Grass to Glory
There’s a new Reward path as well in the Grassroot Greats event, offering Coins, Gems, Grassroot Greats Shards, and a Universal Rank Player – Mascheranos as well! Moreover, the path highlights the career growth of the Argentine Striker Hero Carlos Tevez, offering pre-ranked 104, 106, and 108 versions of him in the path.
The entire From Grass to Glory path is free for all, and you can progress along the path by completing Daily Tasks. Every small step shows greatness. Complete daily tasks to rise from the roots!
FC Mobile 25 Grassroot Greats Event Currencies
- Earn them by completing the Skill Games and PvE Matches from the Road to Greats tabs
- Use them to generate the Grassroot Greats event player in the Greats Stories tab
- Earn them by exchanging Grassroot Greats event players from the in-game Store
- Collect them to claim the Grassroot Greats event players in the Gallery tab
- Earn them from the Skill Games and Matches from the Road to Greats and Greats Stories tabs
- Spend them to progress through the Grassroot Greats Pass
Grassroot Greats Glory Points
- Earn them by completing the Daily Tasks every day
- Spend them to progress through the From Grass to Glory reward path
Running the Math for F2P Players

Grassroot Greats has a fair amount of grind to play in FC Mobile 25. So here are our additional tips and tricks to help you get the best from the event. It took us a while to get these answers and calculate everything, so let’s explain it here.
Now, tips for the event. Play everything. Be excited that there’s no event energy or stamina involved anymore in the new season. We’re not dealing with the constant fear of energy getting wasted and full, and neither has there been a single ad since the game was released. So yes, definitely enjoy it while you can.
Grassroot Greats Players
Firstly, you won’t get any of the Grassroot Greats Players from the Gallery Tab using your Grassroot Greats Tokens; to get players, you will need Grassroot Greats Shards.

From the above, we can understand that, should you go for any of the higher-rated Grassroot Greats Players, you will fall short of the required Grassroot Greats, given that you can’t earn enough of them from playing the event.
Now to get the Shards, you will need to perform the Shard Exchanges, ie, trading in Grassroot Greats event Players for Grassroot Greats Shards. The Tokens vary based on the Grassroot Greats player OVR you exchange for.

Now we can see in the above table, you get 120 Grassroot Greats Shards back for trading in a 109 OVR Grassroot Greats event Player; however, the same 109 OVR Grassroot Greats event Player, when claimed, requires a whopping 450-800 Grassroot Greats Shards.
Although it sounds baffling why someone would do the exchange in the first place, should you get any low OVR Grassroot Greats event Players from the Gem Packs or the Greats Stories chapter, know that you can’t utilize them anywhere, so exchanging them for Shards is the logical way

From the Calculations above, you can see that should you play the event throughout, you are gonna easily end with at least 320 Grassroot Greats Shards without performing any of the Shard Exchanges. Now, unfortunately, you are going for the 110-111 OVR Grassroot Greats Players, you will need a lot more Grassroot Greats Shards than that.
To negate the difference, you can buy Grassroot Greats event Players from the market as well and utilize them in Grassroot Greats Shard Exchanges. However, should you decide to spend Gems, two popular Packs offer a 105-111 OVR Grassroot Greats untradeable event Player for 3000 Gems or a 103-111 OVR Grassroot Greats untradeable event Player for 2500 Gems.
You can get your choice of 110-111 OVR Grassroot Greats Players from the event, provided you have adequate Gems
Given a decent 110 OVR Grassroot Greats Player requires 800 Grassroot Greats Shards minimum, you will need around 30000 Gems, which is 10x of the 105-111 OVR Gem Packs with the worst possible luck. Similarly, for a 111 OVR Player, the amount of Gems required increases exponentially. The players look really solid and are end-game; therefore, make your decision wisely with the Gems you have in store.
Maximize your Mascherano from the event
There’s one thing the Grassroot Greats event has brought in FC Mobile, ie, the Mascheranos, and there are plenty of them on offer. Coming to the Road to Greats tabs, there are three Mascheranos up for grabs as the final repeatable Milestone reward, and another one as the final Milestone reward from the Greats Stories tab, depending on your choices
Finally, there are two Mascheranos available on the Free side of the Grassroot Greats Pass, adding the total to 5-6x Mascheranos given your choice throughout the event. In the end, Grassroot Greats is a resource-intensive event. If you entirely ignore all the players it offers, there are still a handful of Coins and Gems on offer from the Road to Greats and Greats Stories tabs
FC Mobile 25 Grassroot Greats Event Players
That’s it, the FC Mobile 25 Grassroot Greats event in a nutshell. Beyond that, there isn’t a whole lot to say about this event. All the calculations are at your doorstep, do with it what you will, and plan carefully. Basically, just play the event, every day, daily grind it out.
It’s just stuff we haven’t seen before with some variations, which are much better versions of the mini-events than we have seen before. The event doesn’t solely depend on pack luck; you can proceed with a goal towards getting a player. Yes, you have a choice this time! It’s pretty decent!
