New packs have arrived in eFootball 2026, and this time the spotlight is on the Epic Italian League Guardians pack. Leading the charge are three defensive icons: Leonardo Bonucci, Alessandro Costacurta, and Yuto Nagatomo.
On paper, this pack screams defensive stability with all three being amazing options, as we also see some new faces in Bonucci and Nagatomo. So, overall, does this trio make the pack truly worth your spins? Let’s break it down and see if these guardians can anchor your squad.
This is a 150-player pack, where we get three Epic cards. Two of them get the two Show Time skill treatment, while the other gets one ST skill.
Leonardo Bonucci
- Position: CB
- Playing Style: Build Up
- Showtime Skill: Visionary Pass and Fortress
Making his debut to eFootball, Bonucci surely gets some premium treatment. His defensive awareness, tackling, and engagement all sit in the 100s if you give the auto build, which automatically makes him one of the top picks for the position.
His Build Up role is ideal for those who like to play from the back, with passing numbers also among the highest at this role, which makes Visionary Pass click the best playing out from the back. He has high heading numbers but missed out on heading skill, so make sure to slap them onto him.
He has this problem many CBs have, balance, which isn’t strong. If you are looking at an auto-build, I say not to follow it as it takes a hit on his pace. So surely you should push it to the high 80s to make it effective, else the meta would be harsh on you.
A. Costacurta
- Position: RB
- Playing Style: Defensive Full-back
- Showtime Skill: Fortress and Long-Reach Tackle
Must be the best card for one of the best full-backs in the game, you see no weakness in this guy. Costacurta’s defensive stats are elite at fullback, and if you want to, you can easily push more because he has all stats covered.
That makes him a disciplined option who won’t get dragged out of position, and his stamina being his strongest strength, means he can keep defending all game long. Unlike some purely defensive full-backs, he does offer some quality on the ball.
Low and lofted passes are both mid-80s, so he can comfortably link play and deliver crosses when needed. Ball control and dribbling are decent, if unspectacular, in possession, so you have some confidence in holding the ball when pressed.
More impressive numbers are in regards to Speed with acceleration in the mid-80s, meaning he covers ground quickly, while physical contact in the high-80s keeps him strong in duels. He isn’t flashy, but for those who want a safe, defensively sound full-back, Costacurta is exactly that.
Yuto Nagatomo
- Position: LB
- Playing Style: Offensive Wingback
- Showtime Skill: Edged Crossing
Here’s a monumental celebration card that does pack a punch. Nagatomo is built for constant running up and down the left flank. Boasts good stamina, speed is in the 90s, and acceleration follows closely behind. That combination makes him one of the most energetic and explosive wing-backs in the game.
On the ball, too, I feel he can be an excellent option for a defender, as he has good on-the-ball attributes. Passing is a good ability, I feel, to deliver precise crosses into the box. Pinpoint + Edged Crossing as a skill makes him especially dangerous when aiming for aerial threats.
Depending on the build, you can utilize Nagamoto. I feel LMF is the role I would suggest, good dribbling, decent balance, has pace and stamina, and moreover, he has crossing skills that work best at LMF I feel. A decent pick here.
This pack feels like a bit of a mixed bag. On paper, the players are solid enough, but I still feel there are some legit packs coming with better picks. Still, Costacurta seems to be a really strong player alongside Bonucci who seems to be a tier below him, because of his ST skills not on par for a defender.
