NetEase Games has announced that their zombie survival strategy title, Deadly Dudes, is set to launch this month on Android and iOS. The game was available in early access across several regions on Android as Retro Rampage since 2024. As per the App Store’s listing, the full release is set for July 23.

Deadly Dudes is a survival strategy title set in a zombie-infested version of the 90s, blending intense action with a nice touch of dark comedy. You’ll recruit hero dudes, scavenge for supplies, and upgrade your shelter into a safe haven for the rest of humanity.
Here, combat is fast all over the top, letting you blast through zombies, blow up cars, and send enemies flying with weapons like pistols, shotguns, and rifles. What intrigues me is how each weapon feels unique, with its own characteristics, pros and cons.
And aside from all the shooting and wreaking havoc, you can also focus on building a strong shelter to survive this apocalypse. Thanks to this, you can rescue survivors from the wreckage, craft high-quality gear, and place defensive towers to hold off the zombies.
90s charm, quirky heroes, collectibles, and more
I also like how the levels are packed with 90s-style charm, and there are a lot of cool collectibles that you can collect. That said, I’m also excited to pick and use from the variety of heroes, like gunslingers, base builders, and more, and match unique hero abilities with the weapons.
All in all, the game looks very fun, offering shelter-building, quirky character designs, nostalgic 90s vibe, comedic antics, formidable heroes, unique hero abilities, deadly zombie bosses, cool music, humor and more. I’m really looking forward to trying this one once it releases globally.
