Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Class System Overview

When you start the game, it will take you to the character selection menu and show you three character classes. You can choose any of them in the beginning, but you will be able to change them to play simultaneously.

However, the story remains the same, and you will have to go through the same missions and events with each class. But you can try all if you want to dive deeper into the game. All the characters’ backstory follows the House Tyre. You’re an illegitimate child, pretty common in Westeroes, of Marrok Tyre and the last of the family line. While you’re on a mission, you got the news that the Lord is ill, and you’re now heading towards your home.

1. Knight

Knight is the most balanced and safest class for a clean game. The class has a different level of aura and is probably the best-decorated character. The move and fighting style will remind you of top fighters like John Snow and Jaime Lannister.

I don’t know why, but Knight in my hand took down enemies more easily than I could do with a sellsword. The agility and speed are unmatched. This one is the easiest pickup class you’re going to get. So, I’ll keep Night in the middle of both Assassin and Sellsword if it comes to rank all three.

Knight has two types of class-specific skills:

The nice thing about Ignite Skill and why I like it is that it gives continuous damage to the enemies, and you can also attack them while they’re suffering. Now, the other active skills are:

  • Shoulder Charge
  • Pommel Strike
  • Charge Stab
  • Riposte Stance
  • Ignite Weapon
  • Pound
  • Slashes

2. Assassin

This class perfectly portrays a brave and cunning fighter like Arya Stark. You’re disguised as a messenger, working for the survival of the family. But at night, your true face reveals itself, and you become an unstoppable assassin with dual daggers.

This one is the most offensive class, though it looks to be very calm. If you want to try out the game by being the most aggressive, an assassin should be the go-to choice. This class has the highest burst damage in-game.

Assassin will ensure a smooth game, but this one is a high-risk, high-reward class. With a higher DPS potential, you will need to pour your understanding and thoughts completely if you want to enter the core of the game. However, for entertainment seekers, we don’t need to go for a highly fancy build or be a nerd. The game pretty much lets you enjoy it fully with any class you can choose.

Class-specific skills for the assassin are:

Active skills for the Assassin are:

  • Turning Kick
  • Ambush
  • Poison
  • Dagger Throw
  • Ignite Weapon
  • Cutting Mutilation
  • Retreat
  • Agile Movement

3. Sellsword

Received rough and rugged training under House Umber. Thus, you become fearless and a hardy mercenary. This one has the most badass look, and if you want to act tough in-game, this one, by the look, suits you perfectly.

With a bumpy chest and strong grasp, your primary weapon in battle is a full-sized two-handed greataxe. Like Robert’s Warhammer, but yours will cut. While you will smash enemies and level the ground with each blow, it will rain fear on the enemies.

Weilding a large and heavy weapon naturally makes you slow. So, this class comes with a slow-moving speed, and you can’t go sneaky on enemies with this one. But interestingly, I found that this class can run like a sprinter and jump like a true athlete! However, a sellsword can take much damage. Each character has two types of skills: Basic and Active. There are two class-specific skills for Sellsword.

There are four basic combos and multiple special attacks. Active skills are:

  • Fury
  • Earth Strike
  • Roar
  • Violent Charge
  • Ignite Weapon
  • Whirlwind Slash
  • Merciless Strike
  • Rampage

How to choose the best Character Class in Game of Thrones: Kingsroad

Depending on your choice and playstyle, you can choose each of them, and you will still be able to cover almost everything. For me, I choose the Sellsword class as I’m a massive fan of pure action and don’t want to spend much time sneaking around and setting up tactics. But let me tell you, Assassin is the most-loved so far.

Sellsword, as I mentioned earlier, is the slowest but can give you the best feeling with wide-angle action scenes. If you’re just like an action fan like me, go for the sellsword. As I’m also planning to try out other classes more, you can do that as well. Now, if you’re calm and love to explore, understand, and enjoy the story and know it better, you will choose Assassin.

You can enjoy the game with each class by binding the account. The trick is to try a class first in the early game, at least for the first five to six levels, as they’re super easy to unlock. Then, if any of the classes can capture your attention, enjoy the game with it.
