Clash Royale continues to bring exciting evolutions, and with the Season 73 ‘Dress to Empress’ July 2025 Update, the Skeleton Barrel Evolution has entered the arena. With plenty of Skeleton Barrel Evolution decks popping up, this guide will exactly pick the best ones from what I have tried in Clash Royale.
Best Skeleton Barrel Evolution decks to use in Clash Royale
The evolved Skeleton Barrel keeps the same basic function but gets a unique twist. The new version turns it into a sneaky and powerful offensive tool that can overwhelm enemies quickly, as it now splits into two barrels. When it loses 25% of its HP, one barrel drops early, and each barrel releases 7 Skeletons upon impact.

This makes it especially deadly when paired with swarming or bait strategies. As with all evolutions, this version activates every third cycle. With this new threat in play, let’s take a look at the best decks that make the most of it.
1. Skeleton Barrel, Spirit Empress, Mortar, Goblin Gang, Knight, Fireball, Log, Spear Goblins
Average Elixir Cost: 3.4
Did discuss this deck with the Spirit Evolution guide. You can say this is a quick cycle deck that has its advantages. The Mortar and the newly added Skeleton Barrel will be your win condition, while also being a constant irritation for the opponent.

The idea is to pressure constantly with these two, forcing your opponent to always defend them. Then the rest of the cards come into play. Knight tanks up front, while Goblin Gang and Spear Goblins bait out spells. You’ll rely on Fireball and Log to clear swarms or heavy hitters, which balances out the deck. Copy the deck here.
2. Skeleton Barrel, Royal Recruits, Mighty Miner, Tesla, Bomber, Guards, Arrow, Goblin Gang
Average Elixir Cost: 3.6
This is a strong control-style deck that thrives on defence-turned-offence. Skeleton Barrel works perfectly with Royal Recruits as the evolution duo, while the Mighty Miner offers a lot of support as this with Recruits for the crucial offense as well as defense. Tesla and Bomber lock down air and ground pushes.

Guards and Goblin Gang provide cheap defensive support and backup. For spells, I felt Arrows are needed, say to wipe out swarms which is a weakness for this deck, keeping your push clean. It’s a slower-paced deck, but once momentum builds, it’s tough to stop. Test the deck here.
3. Skeleton Barrel, Mega Knight, Goblin Drill, Arrows, Goblin Gang, Bats, Wall Breakers, Inferno Dragon
Average Elixir Cost: 3.5
A deck that has any strong evolution besides Barrel, but I went with the Mega Knight. The Skeleton Barrel pairs well with Wall Breakers and Goblin Drill for a triple-threat cycle, making it hard for your opponent to defend all lanes at once. The Mega Knight acts as your heavy push.

Inferno Dragon handles tanks pretty well, and paired with MK, it becomes more lethal. Just like other decks, Bats and Goblin Gang provide extra chips and support. Arrows are there to clean up swarms that try to slow down your pushes. It is a pretty balanced deck, so test it out here.
That wraps up my take on the best decks for the new Skeleton Barrel Evolution in Clash Royale. If you have any other deck recommendations, please leave them in the comments. Until then, read other related Clash Royale articles:
