FunPlus has announced that their sci-fi strategy title, Foundation: Galactic Frontier, will launch on iOS later this year, with pre-registration now open. Based on the renowned IP, the game was first announced at the Future Games Show 2024 and later soft-launched in select regions in September 2024. Explore, trade, and survive in the Foundation universe
If you’re unaware, Foundation: Galactic Frontier is a sci-fi strategy title based on Isaac Asimov’s iconic Hugo Award-winning Foundation series. The game is developed by FunPlus’s Chengdu studio in collaboration with Skydance, and leans into a solid RPG-style narrative that brings Asimov’s universe to life.
Here, you play as a trader, leading a fleet as you interact with various factions, and even collaborate with others to repel space threats. You’ll also be managing your ship cabins and keeping everything running smoothly to generate crucial resources.
Large-scale battles, original ships, and pre-launch rewards
I got the chance to play during the beta test, and I’m excited for the full release, and also hope it launches globally on Android soon. I’m eager to build and command my fleet of original spaceships again, especially knowing they were designed by veterans from the Star Wars Jedi and Fallout series.
Overall, the game is fun to play, with a unique crew, immersive space sim, original ship designs, alliances, large-scale wars, and more. Even better, the game is also offering a variety of pre-registration milestone rewards, which are as follows:

Foundation: Galactic Frontier is set to launch on iOS later this year, and you can pre-register for the game via the App Store. According to the App Store’s listing, we can expect it to launch on October 21, 2025. There’s no information yet on the Android global launch, and it is available in select regions.
