Fate Trigger Closed Beta Test Cover

  • Fate Trigger is a 3D anime-style hero shooter built with Unreal Engine 5, which was first revealed at TGS 2024.
  • The upcoming CBT adds three new characters, new game modes, five weapons, and two vehicles.
  • The game is also preparing to enter the esports scene, with dedicated competitions planned for the future.

Saroasis Studios, a subsidiary of Tencent, has announced a closed beta test for their upcoming anime hero shooter, Fate Trigger, set for PC from July 24. First announced back in September 2024, the game is planned for release on mobile, PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with test recruitment now open.

Choose your hero, craft your gear, and take part in stunning battles

Fate Trigger is a 3D anime-style, hero-based tactical shooter built with Unreal Engine 5, first revealed during Tokyo Game Show 2024 as Fate Trigger: The Novita. In this game, you play as an Awakener, scavenging for resources, crafting powerful gear, and using special skills to dominate your rivals.

Here you can pick from various anime heroes with unique abilities, like Light Whisperer or Seafarer. That said, I’m especially eager to try out its game modes, from battle royale and team-based point defense to survival trails. You can even buy special power-ups for your armor and weapons.

Now, the good news is that Fate Trigger is kicking off its closed beta test on PC starting from July 24. And you can sign up for the CBT via Steam, and the beta will introduce new content like playable characters and features. I hope they launch a CBT for mobile too.

New heroes, modes, and vehicles debut in the upcoming CBT

During the CBT, you’ll get to try out the three new heroes, including Bloodprowler Ryoin, Crystalscar Cynric, and Lootracer Mindy, bringing the total number of playable characters to 10. New game modes like Ranked matches, Quick Trials, and an 8v8 TDM will also be available.

You can also test five new weapons and two new vehicles, an all-terrain armored SUV and a new motorcycle. Overall, the game shows promise with its unique heroes, dynamic terrain, floating islands, hovercars, gliders, and even a neural network simulator. It is also planning to enter esports.

Fate Trigger is set to kick off its closed beta test (CBT) on July 24 on PC. Moreover, the game is set to launch on mobile, PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. That said, a launch date is yet to be announced. Stay tuned for more updates!
