eFootball 2025 POTS Italian League Pack Review and top picks to consider

eFootball 2025 POTS Italian League

KONAMI’s eFootball 2025 continues its Player of the Season (POTS) celebrations with a fresh batch of stars, this time from the Italian League. Just like the English League and Spanish League packs, this one features 20 well-rounded cards, many of which offer great value for your eFootball coins.

Now, while plenty of these players make for dependable squad depth or situational options, a handful rise above the rest. Let’s dive into the top five picks from the Italian League POTS pack, followed by a quick shoutout to some other solid choices.

1. Christian Pulisic

  • Position: RWF
  • Playing Style: Prolific Winger

Undoubtedly the player who recieved the best treatment from the developers. One of the most electric cards in this Italian League drop, he can be considered as a pure winger’s delight. His dribbling is smooth, with the on-the-ball stats all in the 90s.

This card has a surprising amount of consistency when it comes to finishing, and comes with all the necessary shooting skills as well. Really good passing numbers, and the pace department also doesn’t feel lacking. Surely a fun to use card.

2. Mateo Retegui

  • Position: CF
  • Playing Style: Fox In The Box

This Retegui card doesn’t mess around. He isn’t flashy on the ball, but he’s always in the right spots, and when he shoots, it usually finds the net. High offensive awareness and finishing is his plus points. Speed and Acceleration can be a concern for few, but it is still good.

He brings a strong physical presence, the type that can hold off defenders and scrap for second balls inside the box. His heading is more than serviceable, and with some aerial support, he becomes a legit threat from corners. Doesn’t seem to have a glaring weakness.

3. Evan Ndicka

  • Position: CB
  • Playing Style: Destroyer

Really liked the CB options in this pack, but Ndicka is surely a standout. A fast destroyer CB who is tall and comes with all the needed skills. After pulling this card, one thing I noticed is he sticks to his man and makes those big last-ditch tackles often, so the numbers are bettered by the in-game performance.

His jump and heading stats are solid, and if you’re into set-pieces, he can even chip in with the occasional goal. He’s not going to be spraying long balls to your striker though, but he’s capable enough to play it short and keep it moving.

4. Riccardo Orsolini

  • Position: RMF
  • Playing Style: Hole Player

Orsolini is another solid, flashy player the ball. He’s got that dribbling style that makes him hard to contain, and he’s super clean with his left foot. As an wide player, he naturally drifts into central positions, and that’s where this card comes alive.

He’s got decent shooting, enough pace to beat fullbacks, and great ball control in tight spaces. You’ll want to play him as an inverted winger or even slot him in at SS/AMF roles if your formation allows. The Hole Player trait gives him that ability to sneak into scoring spots or make late runs.

5. Nico Paz

  • Position: AMF
  • Playing Style: Hole Player

Orsolini type of player but has less pace compared to him, but better on the ball. Nico Paz is one of those cards that feels like a hidden gem. He’s strong on the ball, glides past challenges even with that taller frame, and has a nice shooting numbers, even from distance.

His passing is sharp, and he’s got just enough pace to make runs farther away. Think of him as a cross between a creator and a secondary striker. He might not have a standout stat that blows you away, but everything he does feels reliable.

Reviews of other picks from the pack are below:

  • Nicolò Barella (CMF/Box To Box): A high-energy midfield engine. Very balanced across dribbling, passing, and stamina. Excellent link-up play, but not the flashiest pick if you’re looking for standout offense or defense.
  • Mattia Zaccagni (LWF/Prolific Winger): Feels slick and agile, good for quick dribbles and wide runs. Doesn’t stand out massively but makes for a reliable sub or rotation piece.
  • Romelu Lukaku (CF/Goal Poacher): Strong, direct striker who thrives with through balls and crosses. Still feels a bit clunky in tight spaces but can bully defenders when in rhythm.
  • Weston McKennie (CMF/Box To Box): Brings physical presence and stamina to midfield. Can be deployed in various roles, a solid utility pick across multiple positions, shockingly only misses out from playing CB and GK.
  • Moise Kean (CF/Goal Poacher): A pacey and powerful option up front. Decent on the ball and makes good attacking runs. Feels a bit streaky with finishing, though.
  • Lorenzo Lucca (CF/Target Man): A towering presence who dominates in the air, has higher heading than finishing, but both good numbers. Best suited for cross-heavy formations or as a late-game impact sub.
  • Saúl Coco (CB/Build Up): Strong defensively with decent speed and solid defensive awareness, only heading numbers are a tad bit let down else everything else looks good.
  • Zion Suzuki (GK/Offensive Goalkeeper): Good shot-stopper with all-around solid keeping stats. Doesn’t yet feel elite in goal presence or reactions compared to top-tier GKs.
  • Dany Mota (CF/Deep-Lying Forward): A decent dribbler and well-rounded striker who works well in 2-striker systems. Those finishing and heading numbers not even reaching mid 80s is something that might bother you, but rest looks good.
  • Gabriele Zappa (RB/Defensive Full-back): Quick, hard-working defender with enough stamina to last the full game. Average offensive threat but his pace and acceleration is his strength.
  • Aarón Martín (LMF/Cross Specialist): Can be a great crossing option, good numbers in passing. Good pace to back the card up, decent dribbler as well.
  • Jay Idzes (CB/Build Up): Decent stats across the board, but doesn’t stand out. Feels like a backup option if your main CBs are out. Decent passing still.
  • Giuseppe Pezzella (LB/Offensive Wingback): Speed and stamina are a plus, good overlap option. But nothing fancy to talk about offensively apart from this.
  • Lassana Coulibaly (DMF/Destroyer): All important stats over mid 80s, looks balanced overall, but don’t see any player using this card as starting or a substitute.
  • Jackson Tchatchoua (RMF/Box To Box): Man of the flanks, can play anywhere on the left or right. Doesn’t offer standout skills but great speed and work rate.
