91Act has announced that their side-scrolling roguelike action title, BlazBlue Entropy Effect, is scheduled to launch on both Android and iOS on July 22. This game was first released as a premium title on PC, later arriving on mobile in China, where it surpassed six million downloads.

Get ready to dive into fast-paced action with your favorite fighters in BlazBlue Entropy Effect

BlazBlue Entropy Effect is a spin-off of the BlazBlue fighting series, blending the flashy combat of the original series with a side-scrolling action adventure in an original storyline. In this game, there are no gacha-style mechanics, so you can instantly unlock and play as your favorite characters.

You can choose from 14 unique characters, each with their own fighting styles. Here, battles let you constantly evolve and enhance your combo builds. And I love the fact that you can continuously alter combat mechanics mid-fights by mixing and matching their abilities.

What’s better, each character comes with dozens of move variations to master. Plus, if you’re a fan of the main series, you can look forward to familiar faces like Ragna the Bloodedge, Noel Vermillion, Hazama, and the new playable character Bullet, who specializes in strike-and-throw attacks.

A solid roster, strong reviews, mobile-oriented features, and more

In this version, you’ll get to pick one original character for free from Es, Mai or Hibiki. You can unlock the rest by IAP called Analyzer, with most requiring 1 or 2 to unlock. That said, I’m also eager to unlock the free crossover character ICEY, though you need to unlock a certain number of characters first.

Overall, the game surely looks very promising, holding a Very Positive 94% rating from over 25,000 Steam reviews, and offers a variety of characters, full gamepad support, customizable full touchscreen controls, local co-op multiplayer via LAN support, and more.

BlazBlue Entropy Effect is scheduled to launch on both Android and iOS on July 22. You can now pre-register for the game via your respective Google Play Store or App Store.
