NetEase Games has announced the launch of Once Human Annual Version 2.0. Revealed during the 2025 Global Annual Showcase, this update introduces a new PvE scenario, details on the PVP spin-off Once Human: RaidZone, and confirms console ports are coming.
Explore the Endless Dream scenario, now fully unlocked from the start
The Annual Version 2.0 has added a Nightmare-themed scenario, Endless Dream, which is now live. You can explore a twisted, psychedelic world with CRT monitors, eerie amusement parks, and strange environmental threats. Plus, the entire world map is available from the beginning.

This distorted dreamscape is divided into Dream Zones and Nightmare Areas, each filled with mystery and danger. Moreover, the new Confusion mechanic makes it more challenging. It also introduces Deviants like Agony, Misery, and Naviety, each with unique and terrifying abilities.
That said, here, you can freely build structures with no land restrictions, and you can also unlock additional traits, with the world evolving through a five-stage progression system based on how well you deal with the nightmares. Your decisions lead to different endings.
Join events, play mini-games, and earn free rewards
With the arrival of this update, you can claim various 11 Lightforge Ingots and Starchom for free by completing tasks and joining events. You can try in-game activities like Dreamland Wonder mini-games, rescue the giant Chefosaurus Rex, and daily check-ins, for more rewards.
By completing the tasks in the mini-games, you can earn tickets for the Dreamland Wonder, and with these tickets, you can take part in the Deviation shooting game. On top of that, you can enjoy a fireworks show with your friends in Dreamland Wonder.

Even outside of the game, you can team up with your friends in the Renewed Team community event to share an exciting prize pool worth millions. That said, I’m looking forward to collecting the exclusive fashion set, Azure Melody deviation, and the new Lightforge Loot Crate, Abyssal Finale.
Introducing the new Class System
The game has also introduced a new Class system, bringing three unique classes, Chef, Gardener, and Beastmaster, each with a core ability and three distinct talents. You also receive inclusive profession-specific items to help you in your early phase.

However, when you’re on the internal island, this new occupation system and all the abilities are locked. To get a better idea of this, you can also check out our Character Class Guide, where we’ve explained everything in detail, along with useful tips.
Once Human: RaidZone brings open-world PvP action from July 30
Once Human: RaidZone is the new standalone PvP spin-off, which is currently in early access, and is set to launch on July 30. First revealed in May 2025, this is built for those who enjoy hardcore combat, letting you play in a lawless open world with no starting equipment.

In this brutal PVP survival competition, you’ll need to scavenge everything, right from weapons to building materials, while forming temporary alliances with other players. The entire map is open for you, with no safe zones. You can raid other players’ bases at any time.
To make it much better, the Deviation Powers from the base game are reworked to enhance the PvP experience, letting you unleash the might of deviations on your enemies, which is cool.
Once Human is launching on both Xbox and PlayStation consoles in 2026
Good news for console players, as Once Human is also heading to PlayStation and Xbox platforms. While the team didn’t provide an exact release date, they’ve confirmed that development is in its final stages. You can look forward to seeing previews and platform-specific optimizations, set to be revealed soon.

That said, you can wishlist the game now to receive exclusive early-bird rewards once the console version launches. We can expect it to be released in 2026, with the year featured in the reveal image.
Other Annual Version 2.0 announcements
The Once Human team will introduce the highly anticipated Code: Deviation scenario in Q4 of 2025. They’re planning to then launch the console versions and the new Custom Server 2.0 version.
Moreover, they’ve listened to players’ feedback and have established a dedicated security team to enhance the game’s cheat detection and defense systems to combat cheating. It includes advanced behavior capture algorithms and a 24-hour patrol system.
