KONAMI’s eFootball 2025 has arrived with the Player of the Season (POTS) packs, and this starts with the English League. We have 20 picks here, all look pretty solid and worth the coins that we are spending.
I’ll be honest, while many names here hold potential as strong rotational or backup pieces, a few stand out as elite additions who can immediately impact your squad. Let’s break down the top five picks from this pack and give a nod to the other cards.
1. Ibrahima Konate
- Position: CB
- Playing Style: Build Up
Konate is the absolute standout from this pack. He’s a physically dominant defender who offers the perfect blend of height, strength, and speed. What makes him such a valuable addition is how well-rounded his card is.

All his stats are in the 90s, but his awareness and reach make last-ditch tackles and interceptions feel effortless in his other inferior cards. He also has enough composure on the ball to begin build-up play from the back. For me, this guy is the top pick.
2. Aaron Wan Bissaka
- Position: RB
- Playing Style: Defensive Full-back
It’s not the highest rated, but the bang for the buck card is here. Wan-Bissaka is the best fullback Trending card in a while. While most full-backs focus on overlapping and attacking support, this card leans hard into what makes him special: elite 1v1 defending.

He’s the perfect counter to meta wingers and can neutralize high-dribbling threats with his amazing engagement and tackling. Beyond his tackling, those pace numbers are really good, and given his high stamina, he can last the full game.
3. Bruno Fernandes
- Position: AMF
- Playing Style: Hole Player
Since this guy has arrived a lot of times, the hype isn’t there, but surely Bruno Fernandes remains one of the most intelligent AMFs you can get. He gets the Hole Player style, so his positioning in the final third is superb, and he offers the kind of passing range and vision that turns half-chances into goals.

Good dribbling, passing is his best trait, can finish the final ball well. Numbers don’t lie, he looks interesting. What also adds value here is his off-the-ball movement. He always finds those pockets in the opposition half, which makes him an excellent choice for quick build-up plays.
4. Matheus Cunha
- Position: AMF
- Playing Style: Creative Playmaker
If this guy were a Hole Player card, I would have ranked him at Top 2. Yes, Cunha is a surprising gem in this pack. His dribbling and tight control make him feel silky on the ball, and he has that playmaker flair to create chances, doesn’t miss out on major passing skills either.

The standout feature here is how complete he feels as a supporting SS role, where he’s rated 101. His balance of pace, control, and passing opens up multiple tactical setups, and he’s also capable of chipping in with goals, with good finishing numbers too.
5. Ruben Dias
- Position: CB
- Playing Style: Destroyer
It is happy getting a “fast” Ruben Dias card, isn’t it? Dias is everything you expect from a Destroyer CB, aggressive, decisive, and physically good. Defensive numbers are brilliant, that’s where he shines, and no doubts on player ID too, he is great with positioning and reading.

So, one might question why this guy is in fifth. Well, compared to Konate, Dias misses out on Acrobatic Clearance and Aerial Superiority skills, and given how Konate is taller and faster, these two skills were a must for him, and since this is a Trending card, you can’t add the skills.
Special Mention: Justin Kluivert
- Position: AMF
- Playing Style: Hole Player
Kluivert might not be in the top five, but he deserves a shout. His utility is a big plus, you can play him across several attacking positions. He’s got great feet, excellent mobility, and the kind of creative spark that gives you flexibility in different formations.

He isn’t as physically imposing or defensively sound as the others, but what he brings in terms of movement, dribbling, and flair makes him a fun super-sub or wide AMF. The suggestion is to play him as a winger, he will fit well.
With the top five done, I will quickly brief about other cards from the eFootball 2025 POTS English League.
- Thomas Partey (DMF/Box To Box): A well-rounded midfielder with great stamina and solid defensive work rate. Good numbers across dribbling, passing, and even speed for a midfielder. Best used as a defensive CMF.
- Alexander Isak (CF/Goal Poacher): A tall, agile striker who offers a good mix of finishing and movement. He feels quick and sharp, but still I couldn’t see him as a starter striker, KONAMI held off the stats a little I felt.
- Jarrad Branthwaite (CB/Build Up): A strong and tall CB option, 195 cms tall with 85 pace, and I’m sure many players would go for this guy. Third-best CB option, even has one dribbling skill. Can say a decent budget CB choice.
- Bryan Mbeumo (RWF/Prolific Winger): A fast winger with excellent ball control and movement down the right flank. Lacks physical strength because of height, not numbers, but makes up for it with quick feet and decent finishing if needed too.
- Marc Cucurella (LB/Offensive Wingback): A decent all-round LB with good pace and work rate. Feels better going forward than staying back.
- Liam Delap (CF/Goal Poacher): A solid striker option with good finishing and a physical presence. Feels like a simplified version of Isak..
- Brennan Johnson (RWF/Prolific Winger): A fast winger who offers great dribbling but needs improvements in strength and shooting to be that top card.
- Joao Pedro (CF/Deep-Lying Forward): A balanced forward who links up well and holds the ball under pressure. Decent numbersm usable card.
- Morgan Rogers (AMF/Hole Player): Great mobility and size for an AMF. He offers energy and forward drive, good numbers thoughout, can be a solid SS option.
- Daniel Munoz (RMF/Box To Box): Versatile and hardworking right-sided midfielder. Great stamina and can contribute at both ends, I see him better at RB with good defensive stats.
- Chris Wood (CF/Fox In The Box): A classic target man who’s built for headers and hold-up play. Not very fast, but excellent for those looking for a physical striker off the bench.
- Aaron Ramsdale (GK/Offensive Goalkeeper): A solid shot-stopper with good reactions. A decent GK pick if you lack a premium option, but I’m not sure about his Jump stats beiing too low.
- Alex Iwobi (LMF/Creative Playmaker): Very fluid dribbler who can play wide or centrally. Would have been a better card if he had the winger playstyle.
- Bilal El Khannouss (AMF/Creative Playmaker): Young, technical, and agile with impressive ball control. Used best as a winger and a victim of the Creative Playmaker play style.
