Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), the popular MOBA from MOONTON Games, is currently developing Obsidia, their upcoming 130th hero. Obsidia, the Sovereign of Dark’s End, is a new female Marksman hero, currently in development in Advanced Server. She shares a relationship with Alice, Thamuz, and Selena, though her full lore has yet to be revealed. Without further ado, let’s dive into everything we know so far about this new hero, Obsidia, in MLBB!
Mobile Legends Obsidia: Hero Overview
The new upcoming hero, Obsidia, is a marksman hero with a powerful passive that can enhance all three skills accordingly, along with effective skills that can help you dominate the battlefield. We will break down Obsidia’s skill set as observed in recent leaks.

Abilities
Obsidia’s Basic Attacks deal 2 Physical Damage, inheriting physical damage Attack Effects.
Passive: Return to the Bone
Obsidia gains bone fragments by dealing damage to enemy heroes or non-hero units, excluding Creeps. You get Bone Shards for every 5 bone fragments, up to 1. Similar to Aamon, when you damage an enemy, all of these shards will automatically strike them, each dealing damage and inheriting Attack Effects.
Additionally, each time you kill a different hero, you’ll gain a specific percentage of Bone Shards. Once you collect enough, her three skills are enhanced accordingly. If you hold more than 1 Bone Shards, the Wrath of Bone skill becomes unstable, and upon death, you lose 10 Bone Shards.
First Skill: Bone Needle
Obsidia’s first skill, Bone Needle, is an AOE damage skill with a 5s CD throughout the game. You can fire the skill at the first target to deal damage, and it also triggers her passive if your attack hits the target.
You can enhance all her skills by collecting Bone Shards, and this one evolves to Abyssal Bone Needle, which can pierce through enemies, damaging all enemies in its path.
Second Skill: Shadowmeld
Obsidia’s second skill, Shadowmeld, is a Speed-Up (Buff) skill, with a brief CD that decreases even more in the late game. When activated, you can enter the Shadowmeld state, similar to how Selena transforms, gaining movement speed for a short duration. This skill cancels if you use any skill or Basic Attack.
You can enhance this skill by collecting Bone Shards, which grant an untargetable status during that specific duration, making her immune.
Ultimate: Wrath of Bone
Wrath of Bone is an AOE (Buff) skill with a cooldown of 30s. You can use it to unleash a Feast of Bone, which instantly deals damage to all nearby enemies. You also gain a temporary Bone Shard for every enemy hero that gets hit.
Similar to her other skills, you can enhance this one, which increases the number of temporary Bone Shards you can gain, and exceeds the base limit temporarily.
Mobile Legends Obsidia: Skill Analysis and Hero Overview
Judging from her skills, Obisida appears to be a powerful Marksman who is capable of doing a lot of AOE damage while maintaining high mobility and taking advantage of useful buffs from her skills. With this knowledge, let’s analyze the new hero Obsidia’s skills.

With her passive, you get a damage boost, and it functions similarly to Julian’s skills enhancement mechanics, evolving her skills based on the Bone Shards stack. To properly unlock Obsidia’s potential, you should stack up her Bone Shards, as they maximize the effectiveness of her skills.
Analyzing her first skill, it looks like a crossbow shot that deals AOE damage to enemies, and has a very minimal CD of just 5s. Moreover, if you can connect an enemy with this attack, it also triggers her passive. When enhanced, you can do a piercing shot that damages all enemies, like Moskov’s basic attack.

Her second skill is what will make her a very irritating hero to deal it. In her Shadowmeld form, she can dash around and even run through enemies, which looks like she is speed running. But it’s the enhanced version that makes it so broken, granting her immunity during the duration.
Lastly, her Ultimate is a large AOE Buff skill that deals damage to all nearby enemies in a big area. I believe this will be similar to Alice’s attack, although the proper visual animation is not available yet. You also gain Bone Shards. Plus, when enhanced, it not only effectively farms Bone Shards but also removes the stack limit. Keeping everything in mind, Obsidia can be the next broken MM if used correctly.
How could Obsidia hold up against the current meta
After properly analyzing Obsidia’s skill set, I believe that she will be a formidable Marksman, well-suited for teamfights and the current meta. Her consistent AOE damage and enhanced skills that scale with Bone Shards allow you to engage and thrive in any fight. She can easily melt enemies in team fights with her Ultimate and enhanced first skill.
When paired with a proper team, she becomes a tough opponent to deal it, thanks to her high mobility, immunity, and low CD skills. If you properly manage her shards and maintain good map awareness, you can easily dominate the battlefield. But one has to be wary of high CC enemies and burst Assassins.
When will Obsidia release in the MLBB Original Server
Obsidia is currently still in the Advanced Server with no upcoming release date announced yet. She will be tested here before she makes her way to the original server. Stay tuned in this space as more details about her become available.
