The first day of the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 Stage 1 has wrapped up, and Complexity vs. NRG will be controversial be the most interesting matchup of Day 2.
This is because NRG and Complexity are both based in the United States, and their players are predominantly American. Besides the local rivalry, the match will also be high-stakes as the winner will need just one more victory to qualify for Stage 2, while the loser will be on the brink of elimination.
So, independently of the outcome, one home team will be closer to being eliminated than to advancing to the next Swiss stage of the BLAST.tv Austin Major.

Knowing the players from both teams, fans are in for a treat as there will be plenty of trash-talking while the game is on.
NRG have a pretty vocal player in the Canadian Jadan “HexT” Postma, while Complexity have their own provocateur in the American Danny “Cxzi” Strzelczyk.
The fact that the teams are playing one in front of the other at the BLAST.tv Austin Major will probably enhance the emotions during the derby and raise the stakes even further.
And, as both NRG and Complexity suffered a one-sided loss to HEROIC and OG, respectively, during the first day, it’s almost impossible to pick a favorite.

Day 2 of BLAST.tv Austin Major will feature the first advancement and elimination matches of the event, and consequently, the first best-of-threes.
The teams that get their third victory on June 4 will advance to Stage 2, while the teams that lose their third game will be knocked out. It’s also the last day that Stage 1 will have best-of-one series because on Day 3, all the matches are either elimination or advancement series.
