How to Counter the Star Destroyer in Fortnite

The Star Destroyer in Fortnite is a big undefeatable ship. It’s not like Godzilla that you could take down with a group effort. Or even Doctor Doom, who you’d struggle against but you could take advantage of his inability to destroy builds and skybase to escape. For the Star Destroyer, it’s a bit different.

The ship is on a timer. You can’t destroy it. The X-Wings and TIE Fighters do no good. However, the player inside only has a small view of the map. Players might be marked for them, but you can escape their view. Running is one of the simplest ways to counter the Star Destroyer in Fortnite. If you’re caught under its path though, then there’s been a new Fortnite update which makes it easier to stay alive.

Shield bubbles now properly counter the Star Destroyer in Fortnite. It’ll keep you safe from all fire. There’s also a much larger number of them in the game now, so players shouldn’t have a problem finding them. Since the rift spawns quite early, you can hold onto an inventory slot’s worth as insurance if you don’t get the gate. You should be able to safely wait out the hailstorm when a player does board the Star Destroyer.
