Street Fighter 6 is about to cross a major milestone, its 2nd anniversary! This isn’t just a chance to check in on how the game’s progressed since its big launch. We’re also getting an in-game event to celebrate the occasion. Players jumping back into Street Fighter 6 will find they can collect a handful of free items to celebrate the milestone along with some special event features.
With the game heading into its second year, we now have a much bigger cast of characters. Gameplay in competitive events has also taken the title to new heights in terms of its skill level. With even more SF 6 characters being worked in, there’s plenty to look forward too past the 2-year mark too. What’s happening in-game to celebrate this big new marker for its development?

The new Street Fighter 6 2nd Anniversary is a great occasion to celebrate how the title’s growth. To mark the occasion, there’s number of events happening in-game. The special content will be:
- 2nd Anniversary Battle Tournament
- Drive Ticket
- Challenge Master
- Shop Sale
It’s already great to get a few more features in the title. Although, a shop sale probably isn’t the most exciting part of this! Other special items are also supposedly coming in the next week as the game officially crosses its 2nd anniversary.
This event will be a fun way to pass the time in-game. We’re still awaiting a new season’s patch for the title. However, it’ll probably be a little longer before that arrives. SF 6 has taken an approach where bigger patches are less frequent, to try and make sure the game is fair and balanced for competitive events. With EVO, SF 6 at the Esports World Cup, and more tournaments coming up, it might be a tricky time for a major patch. The new content will make sure the game still feels fresh even two after release though.
