- eFootball 2025 has released the Epic European League Guardians pack.
- The pack features Toure, Dixon and Schmeichel, with the first two cards having Show Time skills.
eFootball 2025 continues to celebrate legends of the game with another strong Epic pack, this time themed around defensive titans with the European League Guardians pack. Featuring Yaya Toure, Peter Schmeichel, and Lee Dixon, this trio represents a strong lineup.
While we have seen Dixon and Schmeichel cards before, Toure is a new addition, and the Manchester City legend was known for his all-around abilities, but you can’t go for this pack just for him alone. But which of these three is the true standout in eFootball 2025? Let’s break them down.
Following a similar pattern, we see 150 players in this pack with three Epic cards. Two of them have Show Time skills, while one is your regular Epic.
Yaya Toure
- Position: DMF
- Playing Style: Orchestrator
- Showtime Skill: Visionary Pass
The star of the pack is Yaya Toure, and going by numbers, a serious midfield upgrade for any team. As an Orchestrator, he loves to stay deep, receive the ball, and dictate the pace, something which I wasn’t fond of when this card was released, because he is more of the B2B type, but I think we’ll see this card at CMF soon.

His strength and stamina let him stay involved throughout the game, and from the numbers, he looks good at shielding the defense. What’s interesting is how well he balances defense and attack, with a few changes in the auto build, he can be someone who can start moves and keep the tempo.
His passing is reliable enough to feed attackers, making him fit well in teams that like to keep the ball and build patiently. Physically, he’s tough to get past and has a decent pace, which helps against faster opponents. He is on the taller side, so you can even try giving him a CB build, which takes him to 105.
Lee Dixon
- Position: RB
- Playing Style: Defensive Fullback
- Showtime Skill: Fortress
Dixon is a classic right back who’s all about defending. He’s not going to bomb forward and score goals, but he’s rock solid at keeping attackers in check on his side of the field. His positioning and timing for tackles are on point, so he rarely gets caught out of place.
I like the pace of this card, insane numbers there, and for a defensive fullback, this surely can be tweaked as they aren’t the bombing forward types. I would have loved a different skill than Fortress, something like Edged Crossing would have helped if we had trained him at RMF.

Again, as usual, my habit of giving out-of-position builds for my players hasn’t stopped, so I tried Dixon with a CB build, and he can be a super-solid option there with great defending and speed, although the lack of height may not be so feasible.
Peter Schmeichel
- Position: GK
- Playing Style: Defensive Goalkeeper
- Showtime Skill: None
This guy has been my go-to keeper since I packed this card last year. An insane shot stopper, this particular version has a little buff in numbers, but again, not exactly an upgrade. He nails the basics like positioning and reflex saves.

When shots come in close or from set pieces, Schmeichel is the guy you want between the posts. With his playstyle, it is pretty clear that he doesn’t rush out too often, but there is little to no failure rate if you want to bring this guy up and clear the ball.
This card has the potential to be one of the best GKs out there. His old card is already Top 3 in my opinion, and this might even end up at the top. This pick is perfect if you are looking for a GK.
Without much of a hesitation, you can just jump into the pack for Schmeichel alone, the guy is one of the best and consistent GKs in the game. Although I love Toure, this card isn’t screaming endgame, so I think it is better to wait for a Box-to-Box version.
