Vizta Games, a subsidiary of MOONTON Games, has announced the global launch of their auto-brawler strategy title, Magic Chess: Go Go (MCGG), set for May 28, 2025, on Android and iOS. The game previously launched in select APAC regions after soft-launching in Malaysia and Singapore.

Dive into the fan-favorite game mode, now reimagined in Magic Chess: Go Go
By now, I believe you’ve already heard of Magic Chess: Go Go, the popular strategy spin-off set in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang‘s universe. Based on the fan-favorite Magic Chess mode from MLBB, this standalone title is finally gearing up for a global launch after building a strong following in APAC region.
And if you’re unfamiliar with the game, you basically take part in chess-like auto battles, where you command familiar MLBB heroes and compete against seven other players. I love this intense and fun PvP showdown, where you battle it out with them round by round until only one remains.
Personally, I’m very hyped for the global launch, as I’ve spent countless hours on the original mode in MLBB. It’s nice to see this version grow, with it surpassing 20 million pre-registrations and also amassing 15 million downloads in APAC alone. However, I’m somewhat sad, as Magic Chess is closing in MLBB.
Season 2, Blessing of Embers, will launch simultaneously in the previously released APAC region
And good news for the APAC fans, where the game initially launched in February 2025, as Season 2, titled Blessing of Embers, is dropping alongside the global launch. This upcoming season will introduce a fiery clash between Gods and Demons, bringing new Synergies, powerful buffs, and systems.
And if you don’t know, Synergies work as special team buffs, which are activated when you deploy heroes from the same faction. And this season is taking it to the next level with six new Synergies. What’s even better, the classic Blessing mechanic of the original is also making its debut.
I’m looking forward to unlocking Ultra Synergy, which can be done by activating 10 synergies. You can make this possible by combining six heroes from the same faction and using Blessing and Magic Crystal bonuses.
Magic Chess: Go Go is set for global launch on both Android and iOS on May 28, 2025. You can now pre-register for the game via your respective Google Play Store or App Store.
