We all saw this coming really, didn’t we? Spirit have beaten FURIA to reach the Final of PGL Astana 2025, albeit in a much closer fashion than expected. They’ll be joined by Astralis, who upset the odds to beat Aurora and reach their first Final in years.
It’s been an exciting CS2 tournament so far, but we’re not done yet. Let’s have a look through the penultimate day of action at PGL Astana 2025.

As the big favorites to win PGL Astana 2025, beating FalleN’s newly international FURIA was supposed to be merely a formality for Spirit. In actuality, it proved to be a much more difficult task than assumed, with FURIA dominating the opening map of Train to leave Spirit shell-shocked.
Still, there’s a reason they were favorites, and it was one-way traffic the moment donk finally got online in the server. After a tough map one, donk was shining star once again as he dragged Spirit to victory, although it has to be said that FURIA gave a very good account of themselves in what is surely a good sign for things to come.

Meanwhile, the Danes of Astralis were able to produce a shock of their own, beating an Aurora side that once again have struggled at the Playoffs hurdle. Astralis under HooXi continue to impress, and although they needed all three maps to close this one out, they’ll be hailing their return to the top after reaching their first Final of this stature in five years.
HooXi has performed miracles with Astralis so far, but he’s going to need divine intervention if he’s to call his new team to victory over Spirit in the PGL Astana 2025 Grand Final tomorrow.
