In the next Clash of Clans update, Supercell is going to roll out a new Suggested Armies Tab in the UI. The company has been talking about it since Seth, one of the designers, mentioned it on Reddit’s Discord stage chat.
It kind of piggybacks off removing troop training times, so now you can throw together armies instantly instead of waiting forever.

Supercell’s Suggested Armies Tab Aims to Simplify Strategy in Clash of Clans
Honestly, a lot of casual or returning players just keep doing the same old lineups. But Seth said that lots of players never even try new stuff because earlier, there wasn’t a convenient way to learn. So, this Suggested Tab is supposed to give you ready-made armies, each one built for your exact Town Hall level, to nudge you into testing different tactics and hopefully win more battles.
Three Options per Town Hall
When you go into the army screen soon, you’ll notice three tabs: Active Army, Army Recipes, and then this new Suggested Armies tab. Under there, Supercell’s planning to serve upto three unique compositions for each Town Hall.
The dev team is even thinking about how to show how hard each strategy is. First ideas were like one-, two-, or three-star icons for easy, medium, hard.
But then someone pointed out that players might only pick the “three-star” ones thinking they’ll automatically three-star the base. So, Supercell is tweaking it by maybe using subtle color cues or little text labels-just so you get the idea of a learning curve, and don’t confuse it with battle ratings.

Keeping It Accessible
Since this tab is really for non-competitive players, don’t expect crazy technical armies in there. Seth stressed that hardcore guides and creators will still be best for deep-dive tactics; this in-game feature is more of a friendly on-ramp. By putting basic strategy tips right in the UI, Clash of Clans wants newcomers to wander less into YouTube or forums just to figure out which troops to pick.
And hey, they might not stop at armies. Supercell has dropped hints about “suggested” base layouts or defensive setups rotating in too. With Town Halls pumping out faster than ever, in-game learning tools are a must. The Suggested Tab is a big move toward making Clash of Clans feel more welcoming, so all kinds of players can find and use winning tactics straight from the home screen.
